Lindsay ( Lacey Chabert) and Brad (Scott Wolf) stop in a Scottish pub named "Salingers". Salinger was the last name of the characters they played on "Party of Five". The bartender also introduced himself as Charlie. That was Claudia and Bailey Salinger's older brothers name in Party of Five.
During the party at Salinger's Pub, Mac introduces Lindsay (Lacey Chabert) to his sister & brother in-law "Thomas". Thomas is played by Hallmark actor Will Kemp, and Lindsay (Lacey Chabert) makes a comment that he looks familiar & asks if they've met before. Will Kemp has recently played the love interest of Chabert's character in three previous Hallmark movies. Lacey Chabert (Lindsay) and Will Kemp starred together in 'The Dancing Detective (2023), The Christmas Waltz (2020), and Love, Romance & Chocolate' (2019). Then, when "Thomas" pulls "Lindsay" onto the dance floor, Chabert gets ready to ballroom dance with him and says she "only knows how to waltz & tango", like the two of them do in previous Hallmark movies. "Thomas" stops her and says "not here". Another tongue-in-cheek nod to their previous performances.
The Scottish castle at the center of the movie is actually in Ireland.
Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolf played siblings on the the television series "Party of Five" (1994-2000).
Despite being set in Scotland and the majority of the filming talking place in Scotland, the whiskey distillery scenes were actually filmed in Kilbeggan Distillery, which is located in Ireland. Kilbeggan is incidentally the oldest licensed distillery in Ireland.
