- Jo Masterson: How was your therapy session?
- Danny Desai: Therapeutic. Tonight I learned that if I try harder to fit in at school, people will totally start trusting me again.
- Rico: Yeah, I think you might have to be clear of that whole murder Regina thing before that happens.
- Danny Desai: You might be right, Rico.
- Danny Desai: What if I tried talking to Lacey?
- Jo Masterson: Lacey? She won't even say that she was with you on the night of Regina's murder.
- Danny Desai: I know. But, you know, sometimes I just get the... the sense that she misses us. Or something.
- Rico: Plus, Lacey's super connected to the school, I mean, she knows everyone and everything about it. And she's Regina's BFF.
- Danny Desai: It'd be nice, right, Jo? Having Lacey in our lives again?
- Jo Masterson: I just don't want you to be disappointed.
- Danny Desai: Don't underestimate me, Masterson, I can be very, very charming.
- [Jo and Rico laugh]
- Danny Desai: It worked on you, didn't it?
- Jo Masterson: Don't get cocky, Desai. Man, I just wish I could offer you more than a parent who just wanna put you back in prison.
- Danny Desai: [to Lacey while walking into school] Top of the morning to you!
- [Lacey doesn't answer]
- Danny Desai: Ah, I get it. So it's okay to talk to me in private, but not in the hallow halls of Green Grove High?
- Lacey Porter: Glad you're catching up.
- Danny Desai: I-I might be misreading the situation here, but... are you afraid to be seen in public with me?
- Lacey Porter: Look at you, Mr. Perceptive!
- Danny Desai: That is what my fancy new therapist is calling me, but she's just trying to boost my self-esteem.
- [Danny, Jo and Lacey play the main roles in the play written by Danny, which is based on their own experiences]
- Danny Desai: [in character] Look, I know shouldn't have gotten behind the wheel.
- Lacey Porter: I can still hear the thud when we hit him. The broken windshields.
- Danny Desai: I can't change what happened.
- Lacey Porter: I have to live with it.
- Danny Desai: I have to live with it too!
- Jo Masterson: Me too.
- Lacey Porter: I just wanna forget.
- Jo Masterson: You're never gonna be able to forget. You might as well try to forgive. We might not be able to change what happened.
- Danny Desai: But we can learn from it.
- Lacey Porter: Talk about it.
- Jo Masterson: It's all we can do now.
