It's just good fun. Everyone is so negative these days and seem to have forgotten how to judt enjoy the small pleasures in life. For me, this is one of them. It's fun to see the brothers go head-to-head and see the issues they encounter and how they end up pulling it off. It's pure mindless enjoyment. And I don't apologize for loving thar because I'd rather be relaxed and happy instead of tense and angry like everyone is on the internet these days.
Although, before I owned real estate, I had ZERO interest in anything on HGTV and just chalked it up as stupid reality TV. Once I bought my house I admit I started to watch it out of sheer curiosity and now I'm addicted to it. I think the only channels I ever watched (when we had cable) was HGTV and Food Network. That's why I LOVE the Discovery Plus app. So, I can see people not liking this or ther shows if they don't a house or something they can fix up and decorate they way they want. I know I've gotten lots of good ideas from shows like this, so all I can say is keep up the good work.

The Scott brothers have never been much more than game show hosts masquerading as home renovators. The idea that either of these guys does any more work than absolutely necessary for the cameras is a laughable joke. They would never get dirty, sweaty, or have one hair of their perfectly coiffed heads out of place.
The Brother vs. Brother series is a dull, totally manufactured, meaningless competition. Producers, contractors, designers, and stylists make all the decisions about the renovations and the Bros come in to make it look like they're doing everything. Most of the show is wasted on silly episodes and yak yak.
Even worse, the renovations are remarkably one note. The only show that offers even less variety show to show are the clueless Chip and Joanna Gaines.
And some of the shows, they throw in third brother JD who looks like he's never given up the emo look he had in 90s high school.

I cannot speculate on the overall quality of the product. I CAN say I was screaming at the TV in less than 5 minutes.
The contestants were told to go in and assess the current value of the 1st house. Instead BOTH teams spent their time looking at the house as for what they wanted to do to it.
This is infuriating. It shows they don't listen. Between that and the smattering of stupid comments from the contestants and I was done.
Sorry.
Done.

How is this vapid show still on the air? The premise and execution are so stupid it's not worth commenting on. These two bros are probably very nice people in real life, but on TV they are the most boring, charmless, milquetoast hosts around. And yet they are ubiquitous on HGTV! Why?? Do they have a high Q rating? Are they blackmailing the owners of HGTV? Do they pay for all their shows themselves? Please, please make them go away.
