A personal documentary that chronicles filmmaker Leora Eisenstein's journey with her sister and a private detective to Lvov, her family's hometown before WW2. There, she embarks on a search for her roots and lost family property taken during the Holocaust, as well as a sense of justice. The journey from Israel to Ukraine encompasses personal reflections and family confrontations. The relations of Leora with her mother, a Holocaust survivor who refuses to go on the voyage, slowly takes the front burner of the story, while the search in the city becomes almost abstract: a dream-like background, while seeking for love and acceptance. All of these elements converge as the film maps the effects of the past on the present.
