ah ha a bit of plot progression!

Only a few episodes to go before the season finale and finally we get back to the casino plot. It was getting pretty padded there for a while, risking stalling out entirely.

These characters are phenomenal in their obliviousness and it was incredible that Asher didn't realize the videotape might show him, as well as the casino, in a bad light, augmented by Whitney's own insecurity and neuroses.

She apparently thinks she's too good for Asher now, when in reality, they are perfectly matched in their privileged pretension. Those two are headed for a real blow up by the end of the season.

And Cara sure has lucked into a jackpot with Whitney's money.

What is going on right now?

Watching this show morph into such an uneasy and complex story has been a treat. While it's hard to pinpoint what exactly is going on most of the time, it's enjoyable to watch such an unpredictable series of events unfold as the story and the show progresses (keeps you thinking what in the world is possibly going to happen next). I think everyone was very quick to writing this show off as being too incoherent and boring, but what I think a lot of those people were not seeing the missing pieces and how they would fall into place later on down the road. This show is absolutely a slow burn but with each episode, the story becomes more cohesive even with how confusing certain plot points can be. Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder are so amazing in this show and I have zero clue how this will all end but I'm so eager to see it through.

Warning: Spoilers
You never what you are going to get week to week from The Curse and that is one of the good things about this show. We got another Asher outburst at the comedy teacher and it was just as amusing as when we saw him do it to the couple in the car not too long ago.

They finally gave us the big expose on gambling, and just like with Larry's plans often on Curb Your Enthusiasm, it did not go as expected as Asher got roped into some of the complicity and we will likely see a ramification or two as of a result, both in his marriage with Whitney and possibly with the security team at the casino as well.
