I know these girls personally and I can say that this show is 100% fake! Almost every word out of their mouths is a lie.
Stephani Simbari and Esther Steinberg are FRIENDS in real life and have no bad blood between them. In the show, they create an entire storyline about the two of them hating each other. Also, Steinberg's comedy show at the Kibitz room is a tiny tiny weekday open-mic style show. No one in L.A. is "excited" to do it nor does Steinberg have any pull over comedians. She's a fairly new comedian, maybe 3 years in. She started her own show in the back of a deli only because no one else in town would book her for shows.
In the TV show, they pretend like Esther Steinbergs show at the Kibitz room is a big deal. Its a joke. The faked an entire scene showing the Steinberg sisters sitting in the audience reviewing talent to book on their show. This does not happen. Steinberg is an open-mic level comedian in real life, and judges nobody.
