I'm just wondering...

I think this second season of The Santa Clauses is going pretty decently so far. I'm enjoying Eric Stonestreet as Magnus Antas, and the whole Calvin clan is terrific as usual. Especially Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell.

I'm not crazy about Cal's storyline, but he's an entertaining character, so I hope they can write something better for him.

It's interesting that Sandra is so powerful and is working on her powers with La Befana. They have a few good moments together, but I'm just wondering...

After Sandra accidentally turned the Easter bunny into an actual bunny, why didn't she just use her other powers (the original ones I think everyone has forgotten about at this point) to hear what the Easter bunny was coming there to warn them about??? Seems like quite an oversight from the writer's room.

Anyway, it's a silly, cute, funny show. Definitely not taking it too seriously. :)

Why didn't they just stop?

The finale of the first series would have been a fitting way to round out this franchise.

All this second series has done so far is just unravel things. We have yet another festive nutter trying to take over the North Pole (following on from the plastic Santa, Jack Frost and Simon before him), and worse it seems like Eric Stonestreet has been given free reign to be 'funny'. He is not doing a good job of this.

Lots of Disney messaging being rammed home, and if the final episode of this series isn't Cal and Sandra being Santa together by combining their 'gifts' then I'll be amazed.

I love the franchise, but this would have either been a good fourth film or a one and done series.
