Okay so this is where it all started, the global sensation that is Rick and Morty. This is simply a 5 minute short that is a parody of Back To The Future. I have been meaning to watch this for some time now but never got around to it. After 3 seasons of Rick and Morty I am used to the humor from Justin Roiland but this was very primitive. I understand what they were trying to do with this and I understand that its a parody short, but it wasn't very funny.

The story follows Doc and Mharti on an adventure to save Mharti's kite from a tree. They go back in time to stop the man planting the tree. But before they can go Mharti has to suck Docs balls to get the Time machine to work. They then end up 50 years previously where he has to suck Docs balls again to stop the man planting seeds.. it was a bit much but I am cool with crude humor, however when he started to jerk off Doc it wasn't funny. Shock humor is cool and all but this just wasn't that funny. I wasn't offended I just didn't laugh. The animation was terrible but that was the point and I found that funny. Its just 5 minutes of an animated old man making a young guy perform oral sex on him. I am glad that Rick and Morty grew into what it is. Yeah shock humor and gross out humor is fun and all but sometimes doing it for the sake of it isn't funny. Thank god Roiland has a team behind him to help him write clever and funny content.

"The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mharti" is a 5-minuted animated short film made for television by Justin Roiland almost 10 years ago. You may know him for being one of the creators of "Rick and Morty". I don't know this series, but it appears that the two characters in this short film here are very basic versions of the ones used in the series then. So yeah, what are these 5 minutes about? The young guy has quite a few problems, but by licking the other guy's balls he manages to save them. This was funny the first or second time, but gets repetitive quickly, even for 5 minutes only, like a joke you heard too often. At some point it just isn't funny anymore. The animation is okay, not very refined, but it fits the purpose. The scientist looks like a cartoon character of the one from "Back to the Future". All in all, not a great movie with a mediocre Elvis Presley reference, maybe worth a watch for fans of "Rick and Morty", but everybody else can do without this one.
