Despite the different location and reason for traveling, it remains a standard romantic comedy.

Buenas Chicas is a new romantic comedy directed by Pim van Hoeve, director of Gek van Oranje.

Junior lawyer Billie (Susan Radder) has botched an important case and is now in danger of being fired. To prevent this, she goes to Spain where she actually tries to help clients to acquire land for their plans to build a golf resort.

If she succeeds in this, she has a better chance of keeping her job. Yet everything is made more difficult for her than she first expected, especially when she meets her ex Rogier (Thijs Boermans) in Spain.

Just like February, which started with the Dutch romantic comedy in love with Bali, the month of March starts with Buenas Chicas. Although different things happen in both films, such as the cause of the journey to a different country, there are still many cliché moments and things that also emerge in many romantic comedies.

There are a few too many coincidences in this film, such as the fact that the main character travels to a place in Spain and coincidentally meets her ex here. In addition to these coincidences, the other things in this hour and a half also seem a bit too forced, which ultimately makes everything seem more believable.

The friends who travel to Spain together come across as nice friends, but in the end they don't really come across as special enough to make the film unique compared to the many other Dutch romantic comedies.
