Oh look, another snoozer!
Please. Stop. Making. Episodes. With. Wild. West!!!!!

He is Capital B O R I N G!!!!!!!!! Every episode he is in is about as interesting as watching paint dry on moldy cardboard being eaten by maggots. I think there should be an episode where he gets killed off in a violent horrible death. Like when Brian died, but ten times worse and way more action-packed. Have him walk into a house where an anvil drops in on it and blows it up on impact. That would be hilarious and much more entertaining than what transpired in this episode.

I turned it off some time after the Tom Selleck Hawaiian shirt scene. Dull!!! Extremely dull!!! It's as boring as dish water on a rainy day after its gone tepid.

30 humorless minutes
gwoky23 October 2023
Peter becomes obsessed with a $600 Mr. Potato Head. That is the peak of the episode. Seriously. It's a diluted way of copying an overused joke. Lois agrees with me saying that it is ridiculous "even for Peter". But it only gets worse. Peter takes a reverse mortgage from a TV salesman. Somehow it's funny because TV scams and old people am I right? Peter tracks down the salesman with America's most hated mayor Wild West just in case anyone at home was enjoying the episode. Wild West has a cringe song that they somehow repeat at the end of the show as "humor".

Stewie and Brian subplots are usually funny or at least charming, but this episode crams down a rushed flee market sideplot. It ends with a ridiculous but still humorless meetup of characters competing for "most flee market sales" or whatever.

A lot bad Family Guy episodes at least try something new, but this episode doesn't. Cutaways lack any edge. I miss when Family Guy just had some random 80s jokes or whatever instead of forcing lowest common denominator played out ones from recent politics and pop culture. This episode even bother to time their lame jokes within the horrendous plot. This is one of the top 10 worst episodes and hopefully the worst of the season.

Episode 3

Warning: Spoilers
The Tom Selleck reverse mortgage commercials are something almost everyone news and parodying them and basing an episode off of it is kind of a good idea.

But the show missed the mark in a lot of ways. The voice sounded nothing like him which is odd given it is probably a pretty easy impression to do. They then had a weird side story with Mayor Wild West that did not make a lot of sense.

There were some good laughs in this one, but this was a step back from two decent episodes to start off this season. Wonder if they will get better here as this season progresses, although we don't even know how many episodes there are.

Love Family Guy But They're Wrong
brqccv1 December 2023
A couple good jokes in this episode but all jokes aside they are 100% wrong about Reverse Mortgages. It is a way to access a portion of equity in a home but the bank doesn't own your home or take your home after a period of time. It's a mortgage. That's all. Although it's not for everyone most retirees use it as an extra source of income. Yes it doesn't leave as much equity for their kids but it's not their kid's money. Personally my parents don't owe me a cent after they raised me for 18 years of my life. Research the facts about FHA's Reverse Mortgage before you take anything here seriously. It's a loan product that does a lot of good for a lot of people. I know first hand.

Take that, Magnum PI!! Hilarious!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
I couldn't love Seth MacFarlane any more than I do at this moment! I have been appalled that a man who has as much money as Tom Selleck can be hawking reverse mortgages to people whose homes are their only assets and risk losing them--all to further line his own pockets! What a jackass! He has parlayed his public image to become a shill for banks. He clearly doesn't care who he misleads. When Peter and Mayor West followed the black hair dye to his house I almost lost it!! Family Guy is not known to "soft pedal" anything, but I was really glad they called Selleck out by name. He should be held up as an example of Greed and lack of moral compunction. He truly has betrayed "the Stache!"

Love the new mayor west love how there giving him more of a line. I woke up early to watch this episode idk why but family guy is very therapeutic to me makes me relaxed. This episode was very funny loved the cutaways the jokes kinda reminded me of the older seasons also Brian and stewies Little covos at the flee market were funny Bruce also tagged in love how he's a main character now. Great episode 9/10 would watch again. We didn't see much of meg and Chris pretty sure we heard Chris tho. Lois was just being Lois in this episode telling off peter for his shenanigans. Excited for this season well done family guy writers!
