Stanley Kubrick passed, in March 1999. In the days following Kubrick's death many people wrote messages on various message boards to express their feelings about the awful news. It is almost impossible to find remnants of these remaining on the internet, even using services such as the Way Back Machine. But, fortunately, at that time, our very own SKAS and Kubrick's Universe' contributor James Marinaccio saved some of these webpages. He was not sure why he was doing so at the time. He figured maybe some day they will be gone and someone may want to read them in the future. Well, he was right. And we are going to present some of these to you now. Some of the following comments were on a Prodigy web page someone had set up called Stanley Kubrick the Master Filmmaker. Others were on a Lycos fan page which had a guest-book section to leave comments. More come from the comment section on a CNN article called Remembering Stanley Kubrick. And finally some are comments under an Entertainment Weekly Online article from a critic named Ty Burr called Strange Love.
