A sweet episode with a refreshing lesson

"Wharf, Me Worry?" is an interesting episode that covers some timely themes with a refreshingly optimistic approach. One of my favorite aspects of Bob's Burgers is its ability to demonstrate the power and importance of never losing hope. While I can't pretend this episode is the funniest or most original the series has to offer, I do applaud how it acknowledges our world's problems in a way that doesn't feel too preachy or overwhelmingly negative. A lot of recent social satires have fallen into that trap, putting their messaging ahead of the story and characters. This episode remembers and retains its core focus, and balances out its darker suggestions with a fair amount of jokes and endearing moments. It also ends on a note that indicates how despite everything, we can always make things better. I feel like it would have been very easy for this episode to have fallen apart, but it really does stick the landing. It's nowhere near my favorite, but I have immense respect for it.

Lots of enjoyable themes

I really enjoyed this one. Lots of the themes were identifiable. Tina being a hustler but her hustle turning out okay, Linda's big-heartedness in trying to help a wounded raccoon, Bob's encounter with what might be the rest of his life, and best of all, a one-hit-wonder band from the 70s who can't call it quits because they need the money and it's the only thing they know. What I really liked was that the band's road manager was a British dude named Ian. Shades of This Is Spinal Tap. I'm guessing if Tony Hendra were still alive (rest in peace, Tony, you were brilliant) he'd have voiced the part.

Yes!!

They've done it again! Bob's Burgers/writers that is! They've hit another all time low. Non funny episode especially with Bob Sr. This show lost it some years ago and there is no telling why, but notwithstanding the kids are about the only fun part of this once funny animated show. At the wharf the kids do the daring trouble things as usual and they have the need to always make up at the end. Lou, ti, and gene do good. Bob Sr, nah. Bob and Linda, nah. The wharf had its ups and downs and whilst there a strange event happened that you really got to pay close attention to. I thought that would be the turning point of this episode but it wasn't to be.
