- Surprisingly not much for a horror film. No nudity, but one female character wears skimpy clothing in a bar. A few comments are made to her about how she can't work in the mine because she's a woman and "she might break a nail or forget to check her Facebook". Some kissing briefly. A man pees in a canister, nothing is seen but the sound of it can be heard.
Violence & Gore

- Characters succumb to madness and start killing each other.
- A man's leg is squashed under a rock. He screams when they pop the bone back in and another character vomits at the sight of it.
- A girl hallucinates a man's face melting off and drops his broken leg, he screams in pain and she runs away.
- The skeleton of a canary from a 1920's mine shaft is seen, as are a few workers' skeletons.
- A man is mangled to death by an autominer. Blood gushes like a geyser from his wounds and he dies.
- A man's stomach is ripped open and his innards are pulled out.
- A father shouts at his daughter and curses her.
- A girl climbs into an inflatable structure and is nearly stabbed several times with a pickaxe.
- Characters begin to run out of oxygen and start choking and passing out.
- An explosion traps a crew of miners underground; a few are buried and a few die.
- A man is stabbed in the stomach by a shovel.
- Characters' faces melt off in hallucinations.
- A girl is pulled free from the collapsed mine by rescue workers and reunited with her mother, but then her face starts falling off and her eyes turn white.
- A man in a bar coughs into a handkerchief; his wife and daughter imply that he has an illness.
- Characters tell of a town "urban legend" that turns out to be true; in the 1920's 19 miners were buried alive underground but were abandoned because nobody could rescue them. They eventually went nuts and murdered one another.
