I enjoyed this journey through Burgundy: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are some interesting aspects of Burgundy: the castle of Guédelon ( Michel Guyot and the restoration of the castle of Saint-Fargeau, the experimental archaeology explained by Marylin Martin, the manager of Guédelon), the clays of Burgundy (Louis Eric Solano of the "Solargil", the pottery at Moutiers en Puisaye) , the female wine makers of Burgundy ( the Association "Femmes et vins de Bourgogne" , Sophie and Matthieu Woillez-Domaine Croix Montjoie-, Virginie Taupenot-Domaine Taupenot-Merme, Anne Parent-the founder of the association, the tasting of wines), the basilica of Vézelay (the brother Grégoire, the pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela, the Belgian organist Maurice Fichefet), the Buddhist temple in the south of Morvan, the village of Brassy (the market, Christophe Barand-the butcher-, Marie-Louise Linders-Nolde,-the Dutch guesthouse manager-, Sébastien Hallier-the mayor of the village speaking about the associative life in the village-, Michel Richard, the Charolais cows breeder, the Scottish cows in the National Park of Morvan) and the Gallic and Roman sites of Alesia and Autun ( the archaeological excavation, the story of Vercingetorix, the growth of Autun, the finding of amphoras in Alesia).
I enjoyed the encounters of Jérôme with Clément Guerard, the stonemason in Guéderlon, with Philippe and Claude on the Canal du Nivernais, with Inez Croenne in Avalllon (the walk through the town and the hot air balloon flight), with J. R. Potier at the lake of the Settons, with Maurice Viode in Trucy l'Orgueilleux (the wood floating), with Cyrille Couvenant and Christian Couratier (the portable sawmill in Prémery), with Anne Fouest (the Gallic cooking) and with Alain Moiron, the president of the "Confrérie des Quatre Coteaux" and the members of this brotherhood; nice encounters with very kind French men and women.
