Yuzuko mentions a retinal protein named Pikachurin. This protein really exists and is indeed named after the character in the Pokémon show; the team of Japanese scientists that discovered the protein in 2008 decided to name it so because its function resembles the lightning fast moves and electric shock effects of Pikachu.
Yukari mentions that cats can clearly see green jackets, to which Yuzuko replies that Cagliostro is a masterpiece. Yuzuko refers to the anime movie Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro (1979), whose protagonist Arsène Lupin III wears a green jacket.
