At this point, the enlisted men should have rendered salutes, to which the officers should return. In the eyes of a veteran, this was a colossal blunder.
The female Army MP has a braid that reaches halfway down her back. Army regulations for women's hairstyles require the hair to be worn above the collar, mostly to prevent it from being grabbed by the enemy in hand-to-hand combat.
"Sergeant" Miranda Bates is wearing Private First Class (PFC) rank. Also, her hair is braided down her back, which is non-regulation. Uniform code requires the hair to be off the collar, for women as well as men.
The female Army MP is missing the nametape from the back of her patrol cap. You can see the blank Velcro strip where it should be applied.

So torturing hunters would be a waste of time and effort for her.
