Indian Soap "web serie" Opera
"The universal causal law by which good or bad actions determine the future modes of an individual's existence." - KARMA

Tropic was good. But not fully fulfilled. The beginning was very good. That too till the fourth episode but then as the episode progressed Tropic started moving off its track and finally lost. It has been dragged and enlarged for no reason. A lot of unnecessary things are shown which would have been in the series even if it wasn't. In some places script writing like TV serial has been done.

Ravina tandon has acted well in other movies or her last serial "Aranyak" also has acted well. The rest of the performance is not worth watching.

Art director and costume designer have done a good job. Both are quite remarkable and deserve appreciation. Cinematography is also good at several places.

even daily TV soap are better
brijeshcs-1882029 January 2024
Positive: Nothing much positive, few dialogue were very good, actors have good but there was not such for them

Negative: Too slow pace, writer should have more thrilling or more emotions

Not sure how come Raveena joined this project.

Either they dont have good script or they put more money on actors.

After watching the series, you find out, what exactly you ate watching, there is nothing take aware, normal people remember after watching something, Even after watching crime petrol or CID or saas bahu serials you take away something.

Total disappointment, waste of time, if you have nothing to watch then only watch this, I got carriedaway with title.

Average web Series!! Raveena Tandon is the only saving grace!!
sanjubhat29 January 2024
Web Series Review: Karmma Calling streaming on Disney+ Hotstar!!

A simple plot where a mysterious woman Karma Talvar ( Namrata Seth) comes to Alibaug, gains the trust of the elite who are based out of the place with the motive of extracting revenge for the wrongs done to her and her family!!

Nothing new in the plot , even though it has been adapted from the American Series "Revenge". Been there & seen it a million times !! It is basically Bazigar with a female protagonist. The Madan Chopra in this case being Indrani Kothari ( Raveena Tandon) .

Casting isn't too good with beefy block faced hunks mascarading as actors !! Eye candy for women but not good for the series unfortunately!! Basic casting mistakes cost this series dearly!!

Raveena Tandon is the only saving grace in this average web series with a little help from the protagonist Namrata Seth. Everyone else is average!!

The ending too has been left open 😡. Is it the supreme optimism & belief of the makers, that the series is going to be renewed for a second season that makes them do this time and again !! For heaven's sake look around.. there are better ways to end the web series on a logical note & yet keep the story open for a sequel !! Not done guys .

This series spanning 7 episodes with each episode around 40 odd mins and an inconclusive climax isn't the best of what we see on OTT nowadays. The bar has been set too high nowadays!!

Overall it isn't a total washout but lagta hai kuch toh Kami reh gayi kahani main !!

Going with 2/5 for this one .. Adios 🙂!!

Miscasting and crap direction
vinayningoo-034782 February 2024
Absolute crap copy of REVENGE. The characters casted do not suit the roles at all. The remake of great series like revenge. Revenge is absolutely great and the actors playing their respective characters look like those characters and you actually cannot imagine anybody else playing those roles. This is an absolute miscasting.

Plus one needs to Indianize it in some way. There are so many shots or sequences which look frame to frame to copy. No fun !!

Saw just a bit and I felt like turning it off.. which I did.

I recommend people should watch revenge for the actors / the characters they have played and the direction. Please watch it for Medline Stowe & Emily Van Kemp.

Cringeworthy
imnever8 February 2024
The problem isn't copying or being inspired the fantastic show Revenge. The problem is they keep literally carbon copy it to the extent that you might aswel have just seen revenge with hindi subtitles and you'll be watching the original at least. Whatever happened to originality.. I mean its not like Bollywood hasn't got a long track record of copying hollywood exacting the result..I would understand if it was based on real life or true events it would be understandable but in this day and age? And the amount of money Bollywood is making. They could invest all that money into writing a good story rather than spending 90% of the budget on a nationwide dance sequence with everything and the kitchen sink in it.

Interesting watch
abhishil3 February 2024
It is an interesting watch. Good actors. And good acting. Had me invested and I watched all seven episodes back to back. Only to find a cliff hanger ! When will the next Season be releasing ? I feel the episodes could have been more crisp. Felt a few memories were being repeated which was dragging the serial a bit when one is impatient to know what is happening next. I understand it is based on the original series Revenge. It may not be as crisp as Revenge but since the serial is not available in India - am glad the Indian version is at least available for us to watch. Namrata Sheth looks elegant and poised. Amy Aela is cute! Waluscha D'Souza is sizzling. Raveena Tandon is now a senior actress and good.

Karmma Calling Review
achingoel29 January 2024
Very badly presented. Makeup of the stars also v over the top.

V bad story line, bakwas copy of Bazigar.

Unrealistic and vague.

Naive presentation.

They tried to include Jo jeeta wo hi sikander too.

Every thing happening too fast .

Just rediculus............................. Ahan has nothing to do looks clueless all the time, he is just playing sport or swimming...... Has nothing to do.

Karma has been shown oversmart.

She acts like God ....... Doing whatever she wants every time..tooo Unbelievable.

Her friend Zen character also comes out of no where.

V old cast There is no flow what so ever.

Blankly events are happening.

Don't watch Save your time.

Great series of 2024
yashpaghadal-2847926 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched 7 episodes and every episode has it's suspense. Whole story is full of thriller and drama. It's great story of rich family where one girl has came to take her revenge. She also got love to boy from that family which was not her in plan so, it create a love story. As it was story of high class society dressing and locations were so good to watch. Story has full on drama without any doubt but also something to learn at the end of every episodes. And main role of story was given to legendary actress "Raveena Tandon" who played very well to her given role. It was full packed story what a series need.

Complete disaster. Just a comeback for Raveena Tandon. Nothing else.
sayanti-dutta19 February 2024
The makers spent too much money in casting Raveena Tandon and dressing the actors. They should have spent a little more money on the story, direction and editing. The overall story is hardly 4 episodes worth. They stretched it too long unnecessarily. All actings are extremely poor and quite a few over acted too much. Especially the young actors all needed an acting workshop. Including the main protagonist. Screenplay is hilarious. Useless overlappings and parties make the series dull and dragged. Predictable story line and no logical conclusion to any event. Police and law enforcement is practically shown as useless entities. I am not even going to watch the rest of the episode when it releases.

Lovely series
anjalisood-8367529 January 2024
Such a clean and entertaining series . KARMMA calling does full justice to the original revenge and is meant for the Indian audiences. Indrani Kothari played by Raveena tandon is the pillar . Namrata Sheth is phenomenal as karmma . Varun Sood is completely effortless and natural in playing Ahaan Kothari. All the other characters have been meticulously selected and have done full justice to their given roles. Viraf was superb as uncle Zane. The Indian audience will love the series and the mystery element is very well held. Ruchi Narain has created a beautifully crafted series and the audience is already waiting for season 2 . A must watch clean and entertaining series.

Best Example of wastage of Raveena's talent
pradeepgoyalk25 February 2024
Someone has rightly said "One dirty fish spoils the whole pond". Same thing applies on this web-series.

Here that dirty fish is Namrata Sheth. She looks so weird and awkward in this web-series that I had to forward whenever she came on screen.

Even her makeup man/woman has taken full revenge from the producer/director by not trimming her nasal hair many a times.

She even spoiled the presence of Raveena jee. Raveena is such a fine actor. She has given very fine performance in many many movies but due to Namrata all Charisma of Raveena went in vain.

I hope director forced to select such cast.

Karmma Calling - A Cinematic Odyssey of Self-Discovery
rahuljain-4826529 January 2024
Karmma Calling" takes audiences on a thought-provoking journey of self-discovery, wrapped in a tapestry of stunning visuals and profound storytelling. Directed by the visionary filmmaker Aanya Dev, this film transcends traditional boundaries, seamlessly blending Eastern philosophy with Western narrative techniques.

The story revolves around Maya, played with grace and depth by the talented Anaya Kapoor, a young woman grappling with the complexities of modern life and a relentless pursuit of success. Unbeknownst to her, a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger sets her on an unexpected path of self-reflection and spiritual exploration.

The film's cinematography is a visual feast, with lush landscapes and vibrant cityscapes serving as the backdrop for Maya's transformative journey. Dev masterfully weaves together dreamlike sequences and grounded reality, creating a visual language that mirrors the internal conflicts faced by the protagonist.

The supporting cast, including seasoned actors Rajat Malhotra and Naina Verma, deliver compelling performances that elevate the film's emotional resonance. The chemistry between the characters adds depth to the narrative, enhancing the viewer's connection to Maya's quest for meaning.

The film's soundtrack, composed by the talented Arjun Sharma, complements the narrative beautifully. The music becomes a character in itself, guiding Maya through moments of introspection and revelation. The fusion of traditional Indian instruments with contemporary beats adds a unique and captivating layer to the film.

"Karmma Calling" delves into themes of karma, destiny, and the interconnectedness of all things. It skillfully navigates philosophical concepts without becoming preachy, allowing viewers to interpret and reflect on the messages in their own way. The screenplay, penned by Dev and co-writer Siddharth Mehta, strikes a delicate balance between enlightenment and entertainment.

While the film successfully explores profound themes, there are moments when the pacing feels a bit sluggish, and certain scenes could benefit from tighter editing. Additionally, some viewers may find the philosophical elements to be more pronounced than the plot itself, which could be a matter of personal preference.

In conclusion, "Karmma Calling" is a visually stunning and intellectually stimulating film that invites audiences to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Aanya Dev's directorial prowess, coupled with Anaya Kapoor's captivating performance, makes this cinematic experience a compelling exploration of the human spirit. Despite a few pacing issues, the film stands as a testament to the power of storytelling in transcending cultural boundaries and inspiring introspection.
