- Arthur resigns, saying he had an extramarital affair. He asks Annie to find out if Henry knows Teo is his son. Annie and Auggie continue their investigation and find a mole in the CIA. They learn Arthur never cheated but lied to protect Joan.—Anonymous
- Henry Wilcox triumphs as Arthur resigns, supposedly over adultery, while presumable ex-to-be Joan, whom only Annie happens to discover being pregnant, is first in line to succeed him. To make her pass the lie detector test, she may not know about his Colombian terrorist son Teo before the senatorial scrutiny. CIA official Seth Newman is murdered before he can find the mole, Auggie and Annie search for him and Wilcox's own Colombian connection, trough an oil firm.—KGF Vissers
- Annie returns home from work and sees the door to Danielle's house is open. She goes in with her gun drawn and finds Arthur Campbell waiting for her in her kitchen. She shows him the file from Henry Wilcox gave her. The woman in the photos is Theresa Hamilton (Michelle Ryan), a cut out. He tells her Teo was conceived on his first overseas tour, with a woman named Anna Sophia. He didn't know she was pregnant when he left, and now he wishes he'd proposed then. Her parents didn't approve of him and cut him off when she died. Joan doesn't know about Teo. They had challenges conceiving and he didn't want her to know how much he enjoyed being a father.
Arthur tells Annie to find out if Henry knows Teo's his son and to tell him Athur's funding the Puma to build some trust.
Annie meets with Henry the next day. When he asks if she was able to determine the extent of Arthur's relationship with Teo, she thinks he doesn't know he's Arthur's son. Henry knows Auggie went with her to Colombia. He won't give her any more information.
After the meeting she sees Henry on a pay phone and reports to Arthur that the "fish has taken the bait."
She calls Auggie to trace the phone and tells him what she's up to.
She follows him down into the Metro.
At Langley, Joan feels everyone's pity stares following Arthur's news.
Her NA sponsor Seth drops by to offer support and awkwardly ask her to dinner. She demurs.
Auggie traced Henry's call to Langley's main switchboard.
She follows Arthur down onto the train.
Joan comes to Auggie for a favor. Ordinarily, it'd be her job to look into a CIA officer's affair to ensure there were no security breeches, but she can't because it's Arthur. And he's refusing to say who his mistress is on the grounds that she's covert. Joan remembers their dinner date the other night and is sure she saw a second cell phone on him. She asks Auggie to look into it off the record.
Annie follows Henry off the train, up to a building where he gets on an elevator. He goes to Solstar Oil's office and checks in at the front desk.
Annie calls Auggie who tells her Solstar pumps oil in Colombia -- or did until the Puma's terrorist group bombed their pipeline. Annie taps into their audio mainframe and tapes sketchy transmissions.
She takes the recording to Arthur and Auggie. Arthur listens and thinks Henry knows Teo is his son. There's a voice they can't ID that they think is an agent.
Auggie wants to tell Joan what's going on. He's figured out that Arthur made up the affair to protect Joan. He only needs his story to hold up til tomorrow, after Joan passes her polygraph.
When Annie leaves the room, Auggie argues for telling Annie everything. "From my vantage point it looks like you want her to find out so you don't have to carry the weight. Sack up," Arthur says.
Later, at Auggie's place, Annie asks why he's upset. Auggie says he doesn't like having to lie, to Joan or to anyone. Annie assures him they're not Joan and Arthur and don't have to fall into those traps.
The next day at Langley, Joan checks in with Auggie, who says he didn't find anything from Arthur's second phone. He lies and says he didn't find anything. Then she says one day they're going to talk about what he was doing in Colombia with Annie.
Joan is on her way to her polygraph when morning sickness hits. Annie is in the bathroom and sees her throw up. Annie guesses she's pregnant.
Joan does her polygraph.
Annie reports to Auggie that Salazar is headed to Colombia for a conference his week
All Auggie knows about their mystery voice is that he can say good afternoon in Spanish.
Seth tells Joan she's aced her polygraph and she's in line for Arthur's job. She takes him up on his earlier dinner offer of Yucatan food. He says good night in Spanish as he leaves. Auggie hears.
They report back to Arthur. They know Seth leaked to Henry. He and Seth were both dating Joan at the same time early on. Annie wants to search Seth's place while he's out with Joan. They have to convince Arthur to wait to come clean to Joan until after her dinner, even though he worries about her going out with an ex.
Later that night, Annie breaks into Seth's. He has a framed picture of him with Joan.
Joan starts to get ready for her evening out, but has a change of heart. She apologizes to Seth when he gets there. He's understanding and heads home. "I can't comprehend anyone ever taking you for granted," he says. He leaves.
Back at his house, Annie goes through his files. She sees a flash drive on his desk, but hears him come home and has to hide in the closet. She moves some books as she hides.
Seth comes in on the phone, saying he'll bring it to the person tonight. Annie sees the bookend about to fall and catches it. She thinks she's safe, but Seth saw her and attacks. They fight all the way down the stars, with her knocking over furniture to get free. She gets to her car and drives off. Seth grabs a baseball bat and follows. He cuts her off and smashes in her driver side window. She drives to drive off, but he gets a hold of her and pulls her out of the car. He starts to choke her, but she's able to throw him off and over the side of a bridge. He hangs on for a second then falls into the water below, seemingly dead.
Joan goes to see Arthur, slapping him hello. She has figured out that the affair was fake and he kept her in the dark so she's pass her polygraph. He tells her about Teo. She tells him she's pregnant.
At Auggie's place, they figure they've got 48 hours before Langley starts looking into Seth's death. Henry texts, asking for a meeting.
The next day, Henry tells Annie that he's heard the ALC is planning an attack on American interests. He wants her to go to Colombia and stop him. "Are you asking me to kill him?" "You've already told me twice that you are in, without reservation. Time to back those words up, Ms. Walker," Henry says.
