What just happened?!

Warning: Spoilers
I saw this short with a PAID TICKET in a MOVIE SHOWCASE during a film festival. The principals for this flick, such as writer\director E.M. Spairow (Captain Jack's cousin?) or the lit prof about to have his eyeballs apparently repossessed by a couple of sadistic Repo chicks when this piece abruptly ends (played by film "veteran" Michael Gavino) were NOT present for a post-showing Q & A, as might have been the case when this was shown for film class at Delta Community College in the hinterlands of northern Michigan, where the accompanying shorts came from (and I'm assuming DEFAULT, as well). Nor was there a chance to view it two or three more times to try to make some sense out of it. Maybe this incoherent fragment was the product of some "48-hour" assignment, common nowadays in Boondock film programs. If that's the case, and DEFAULT is considered part of the "cream of the crop," I'd really hate to see what would be shown to the paying public if they scraped the bottom of the proverbial barrel. The one nice touch here is Maxwell Karmazyn's violin solo.
