Mom. Look out!
nogodnomasters1 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Summer (Ria Eaton) survives a car accident that kills her mother (Kristi Lynn) and ability to wear make-up and act. She lives with her Aunt Linda (Linda Brann) a chunky woman who doesn't have any food in the house and complains Summer is ruining her social life. Summer sees odd if not imaginary things and is helped by Mr. Bradley (Paul Bellefeuille) while everyone else wants to harm her.

At 40 minutes they explain to you what has happened if you haven't gotten it from the title. This type of film has been done before and better, even the sappy one. What really hurt the film was that Ria Eaton couldn't deliver the lines in a convincing fashion, although the Ria sitting on the wall back talking to her mom, wasn't nearly as bad. Thus I can only blame the script writer and director. The supporting cast wasn't any better and the sound had that hollowness to it with background noise. Looked like a college project.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

The usual indie character drama

Warning: Spoilers
HYPNAGOGIC is another indie character drama with an "is she mad?" plotline. The only mystery is how they blew half a million dollars making this cheapie. A haunted young woman is either delusional or being pursued by demons but you don't find out for sure until the very last scene. Up until that point, it's utterly tedious and all but unwatchable.
