- The Glee Club continues their celebration of the works of The Beatles. Also Tina's ego begins to become unmanageable with her nomination for prom queen. Meanwhile New love begins to blossom for Sam and Santana respectively.
- Open with Sam and Blaine talking about prom. Sam isn't thrilled with having to go with Tina, who is just a friend, but is honoring his promise. He thinks about unlucky he's been in love. This week will be the Beatles' experimental period. Blaine, Artie, Kitty and Tina are announced as candiates for king and queen. As soon as Tina hears the news she drops Sam as her date, saying the best way for her to maximize vote is to go by herself. Tina starts to sing "Revolution" and everybody leaves the room.
Having not heard anything for awhile Rachel tells Santana she's certain she didn't get the part in Funny Girl. Santana has landed a role in a commercial for an anti-fungal product, Yeast-I-Stat.
Bree makes it clear to Kitty that it's not okay for her to campaign for a non-Cheerios prom queen candidate. She needs to run aggressively so the Cheerios can have a winner.
Sam talks to Will about how there are no songs for what happened to him with Tina. Sue arrives and tells them she's instituting mandatory vaccinations, starting with polio. Sam is afraid of needles, but Sue isn't cutting him any slack. He can't go to prom unless he gets a shot.
Kurt tries to comfort Rachel, who he thinks she has lost her mojo. The two of them sing "Get Back."
Sam goes to Nurse Penny, who is a college sophomore working at the school to help eventually get into nursing school. She seems fairly incompetent and Sam leaves.
The halls are covered with Kitty For Queen posters. None of the New Directions kids believe Kitty when she says she had nothing to do with it.
Santana has a budding attraction with Dani, one of the other servers. Santana tells Rachel she's never been with an actual lesbian and is nervous.
Blaine and Artie notice that Sam has been intentionally hurting himself to visit Penny in the nurse's office. He's worried his personality isn't good enough to "get the girl," but the guys tell him to go for it. He sings "Something."
Penny tells Sam that Sue has fired her for mixing up a few vials. He lets her give him his shot in the buttocks.
Sam rushes to Sue's office and begs for Penny's job. Sue says Penny can stay
Bree offers Tina's personal assistant Dottie a spot on the Cheerios if she'll help them.
Santana and Dani hang out together as the diner closes for the night. They sing "Here Come The Sun" together and spend the evening together. Dani gives her a kiss good-bye before going home.
Prom opens with some of the guys performing "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." Penny knows that Sam is the reason she was un-fired by Sue. Sam asks her to dance. Bree has Dottie set up a bucket of slushie on the ceiling that will be dumped on Tina. Sue announced Tina has won queen. She is crowned and couldn't be happier. Bree nods to Dottie, who starts to pull the rope. Kitty sees what is happening but is too late to stop it. Tina is covered with red slushie and the crowd gasps, then laughs.
Back in the choir room Tina is crying and furious. She starts to head home but Blaine stops her. He thinks the should clean her up and she should return to "own that prom." Several of the girls offer her their dress. Blaine sings "Hey Jude" as they clean her up. She returns to the dance wearing Kitty's dress. She re-takes the stage and the crowd cheers.
Roz brings Bree to Sue, telling her she needs to be punished. Instead Sue promotes her to captain of the Cheerios and tells her to keep up the good work. Sue wants Bree to go after the Glee clug "with all you've got."
Kurt gets a job at the diner with Rachel and Santana. The director comes to the diner to tell Rachel she got the part of Fanny. This leads to a performance of "Let it Be" by several cast members.
