Turn the Page
bobcobb30123 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The cases this season are easy to watch, but there is not a lot of originality or excitement around them. While Law and Order: SVU still finds a way to give us originality and interest all of these years later, this show does not try to rock the boat and I don't know if that is by design or not.

But the courtroom scenes are still fun as is the process of Nolan and Jack and Sam strategizing at their office. I just think the writers need to do a better job of giving us something that feels fresh and unique because that is what has really been missing so far in the long-running series in my opinion.

Dialogue
Jeffdice19752 February 2024
As I have noticed in this series, law and order: SVU and law in order: organized crime, the dialogue is being spoken slowly. It seems to be stretching out the time like somebody stretches out a term paper by using the word "the" a lot. Also, I have noticed in all of the series on NBC this year, the voices, all seem muffled as if the boom mic is not working properly. The writers also seem to be very shallow in there storylines. You can predict what everybody's going to say or do before they even say it. Especially on law and order. Also, I could not help notice that Sam Waterston is combing his hair different than all of the previous years on the series. Why, as an older gentleman, he feathers his hair back like a 20-year-old?

Eyes Wide Shut
safenoe10 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Reid Scott is settling into the role of Detective Vincent Riley, and we get some backstory about him, with him being a loose cannon in the fine tradition of Dirty Harry, which kind of makes us respect him more in the same way we respected Chris Noth's role in Law and Order, and anyway it's a shame Chris Noth hasn't made a cameo appearance to bring back the link to the origins of Law and Order. Anyway, we also learn about Detective Violet Yee's winking nod to the after-hours Eyes Wide Shut activities and whether she does that in her spare time, although her Fandom page doesn't mention this, but maybe it will before too long.
