She obviously did it!!!!!
kunalsurve-1838229 February 2024
The entire series only goes to prove that she obviously did it.

She is super ambitious and doesn't let anything or anyone come between her dreams.

The fact that she never once went to meet her children all these years shows her true character. And upon meeting them for the first time, the first thing she says is to keep them being her children a secret.

If at all her daughter was alive, not once in the entire series does she truly call out to her to come back and end this nightmare.

The advocate also states that our job is to punch holes in the DNA test, but if Indrani was so sure it was not her daughter's body, she could have gone for a proper DNA test and ended the confusion once and for all.

Even after so long she does not have a shred of sadness over losing her daughter.

It is obvious that she is the real killer!!!
zinianitu3 March 2024
The woman is such a nasty slay fox. Any person with common sense can understand she did it. A money hungry bit**. Used each man as a stair to enter into the highsociety Let alone all her smile & arrogance.... Just look at her eyes. This is how a coldblooded murders eyes look. Pretending she is such a classy elegant lady but in reality she is just another parasite. Even her daughter is talking like her.

Even today she is cashing the murder by selling the story to Netflix. And the moment she said "when i enter a room yes man look at me and women gets uncomfortable" she thinks she is such a beauty Queen.... Lol.

An average looking gold digger..... didn't hesitate to murder her own child. Anything for Money & fame.

Indrani a pure narcissist!
lokeshpande-040221 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
A series of Indrani's side of story, a real narcissist & a psychopath!

This lady is trying everything to make people crazy and foolish. Clearly her childhood trauma has made her to become mentally unstable.

In series, you can observe in few instances, she is controlling her lawyers words.

Also, whoever spoke against her, she did character assassination of them. Her lawyer, shown in this series, clearly can't come up with explanation to the allegations. He is even denying the forensic evidences! And one more funny claim by the lawyer was, rahul was a convict in UK for weed & driving offences!!?? Son of an Indian millionaire did something in his young age, that makes him characterless and unreliable in court for asking where is his fiancé?

Didn't expect much from Netflix series as they do such series to keep an open end to the story, clearly they can't give a verdict, which is fine.

But supporting Indrani's side of story and making a documentary around it, is wrong. And it's not even good for her side!!

Again I would say, she clearly is a psychopath and tried everything she could do to make the court room a jungle.

Fascinating insight into one woman's life of control & manipulation of those around her.
LilyWai2 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
While this docuseries is underpinned by a brutal murder this seems to be the secondary focus, the real spotlight lands in the characters that make up this saga with Indrani Mukerjea taking the central position - just as she demands it. This is no shrinking violet or humble introspective woman but rather a driven, status-seeking manipulator who thinks nothing of rewriting the past to suit her current objective - claiming her dead actual walks & that she is the true victim in this case. People are clearly pawns for Indrani & she loves nothing more than being at the centre moving them all around - or in & out of - her life as she sees fit. The question posed by the series, the various journalists, the Indian media is did she, with the help of her co-accused, murder her eldest child to ensure that the secrets Sheena held about her Mother's ignominious past never reached the light of day? She seemed to be the only one of her children who Indrani had lost her power over, the others could be kept onside with either money or guilt over Motherly allegiance, whereas Sheena didn't need or depend on her Mother being in her life.

The series starts at the end - with her being jailed for the alleged murder of her first born - but then we get to see just how she ended up in this position, the early years, the people she stepped on & manipulated to claw her way to the highest strata of Indian society. The cast of characters is astounding, the many husbands - each a strategic means to an end by the titular accused - the children - who for the most part don't give a glowing recollection of their mother's past actions or character - & the people she has passed on her way up - who all use the same terms to describe her "manipulative" &/or "ambitious". It's clear that the consensus is that this is a woman who utilised the men she married to move up the classes & therefore the power structure underpinning Indian society.

What does come into focus as a salient question is the robustness & integrity of the Indian judicial system. It seems clear that anyone with enough money or power is able to buy the Police to the extent of hiding the discovery of a burnt body & then burying it. Coming from a country with one of the lowest levels of corruption worldwide this was astounding to me & left me wondering if this was able to happen with a victim's body how can the any part of Indian jurisprudence be believed? If there was one person who came across as a truthful victim of this saga - aside from the deceased of course - it would have to be Rahul, the fiancé of the murdered Sheena. Although he did not appear in the docuseries in person his love & life with Sheena prior to her disappearance was represented, as were his recorded conversations with his Father as he desperately tried to find out where Sheena was & why had just suddenly vanished one night. This is perhaps why he was positioned as the star witness in the prosecution's case against Indrani Mukerjea as he was the sole person in Sheena Bora's tragic life who persisted in asking, over the three years she had been missing, where she was & what had actually happened to her.

As the case is ongoing no conclusion was reached in terms of the verdict at the conclusion of the series but the assumption, given the 'evidence' to date & the public opinion, was that at the very least Indrani Mukerjea did indeed conspire or participate to end her daughter's life. Given what she likes to call simply 'coincidences' & the DNA verifying that the body discovered was indeed Sheena (despite Indrani STILL arguing that Sheena is alive in Kashmir) I cannot see how any other conclusion can be reached. Although given this woman's determination, self confidence & pathological narcissism I wouldn't be surprised if she is acquitted & walks as a free woman.

Narcissistic, Manipulative and a Devil
akpurendra18 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Her eyes narrated the reality, she is a murderer. It really freaks me out imagining a women who was also a mother of 3, on a kill streak and now a lier. Her driver never lied, she did it and kept it under the table with all her influence in 2012.

A typical red flag, don't know how people couldn't see what was coming to them. Lied about her father being a rapist, lied about her relationship with her kids forcing them to call her elder sister. She was a gold digger, manipulative achiever who killed her own blood, her relationship to be relevant.

Wish they drag her back to the jail and let her rot there!

Gripping truecrime Docuseries!!
sanjubhat4 March 2024
True Crime Docuseries Review: The Indrani Mukherjea Story- Buried Truth streaming on Netflix!!

One of the most sensational murder cases of our time and on par with the Arushi Talwar case, the Sheena Bora murder is one of those media hyped cases where the truth might be hiding in plain sight but justice might never be served!!

A truly complicated case with none of the accused or witnesses willing to reveal the complete truth.

This 4 part Netflix docuseries tries to delve deep into the dysfunctional lives of Indrani & her family where everything seems hunky dory on the surface but with a lot of ugliness hiding beneath the pristine exterior.

Out of the 4 accused ( Peter Mukherjea ( ex husband ) , Sanjeev Khanna (2nd husband ) , Shyamvar Rai ( her driver ) & Indrani herself)) only Indrani agreed to participate in this docuseries. This shows that it is a PR cum image re- branding exercise on her part.

It brings about two facets of her character - a highly ambitious , successful & ruthless businesswoman who will go to any length to protect her image even if it means murdering someone OR doing a complete character assassination of all witnesses including her son Mikhail, Rahul ( stepson) among others.

The unflinching gaze with which she looks into the camera and provides u with well rehearsed answers gives an impression of her being a pathological liar & a borderline psychopath devoid of empathy.

A only bit of emotion shown by her is when she discloses that she had been raped by her father and Sheena is the product of this unholy union. This is the only time when she seems human. Otherwise emotionally, she's zilch!!!

She also tries to propagate the ludicrous theory that Sheena is still alive thereby turning the "Sheena Bora murder" into "No one Killed Sheena" case !! The lady is just incorrigible!!

The timing of the release of this docuseries is also suspect as the matter is subjudice!!

Worth a one-time watch if u want to revisit this sensational murder case !! But most likely the "Actual Truth" might never be known and will be buried forever !!

She is the killer can be seen in plain sight
Pwbreviews29 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Can't understand how shameless a criminal can be.

Indrani Seems to be a high class narcissist.

Poor Sheena only betrayed by her own.

Comes across as an exceptionally astute liar and a social climber.

I was surprised she is made out to be celebrity but is a cold blooded murderer. And please it has nothing to do with the stereotypical oh because she is ambitious she is a gold digger.

But if you look in her eyes she comes across as a soulless vapid person.

I am pretty sure she lied all her life to get away with things.

Netflix could have done this better. She is not innocent until proven guilty.

A real disgrace to motherhood!
UmeshAditya3 March 2024
What a disgrace this lady is to the motherhood n to humanity! That's what this 4 episodes documentary on Indrani Mukherjee story makes you feel about. I had always seen individuals harming outsiders for their ambitious gains but this lady decided to sideline n clear her own children to achieve her ambitions. Demeaning her own father, murdering her daughter, presenting herself as sister of her own children to the entire world, abandoning 2 children soon after birth, sending her son in mental asylum through influence, trying to murder her son too, 3 marriages - all to remain in power n in influential position in corporate world! Probably she is the best example of a narcissist where one can only love oneself. After these many years, not even a brief stint of guiltiness. Available on Netflix. My ratings 8/10 for presentation of the story!

Best part, how indrani smartly doing the character assassination of all the characters. She divorce Peter , taken most of the asset , huge cash to fight the case. By any chance did the Netflix show was sponsored by Indrani Mukherjee. Just asking 😀 Money & Sex is the reason of everything happens.

Between , I like the statement of defence lawyers, he confess every character of that family is having there own agenda .

Funny one is Indrani was 14 is is raped by father , 16 she is raped again by his father , in every instance she love to do characters assassination. Most interesting she got pregnant and gone to shilong.

Uncovered the Truth of Sheena Bora Case
Pranali_Patil12 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
"The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth" sheds light on a case that captivated headlines for years. As someone who followed the news about Indrani Mukerjea from a young age, I had preconceived notions. However, this docuseries reaffirmed my initial impressions.

Throughout the series, Indrani attempts to whitewash her image, but the evidence against her is overwhelming. Loopholes in the narrative and unanswered questions raise doubts about her innocence. It's evident that she is the culprit behind the heinous crime.

Despite the attempt to present a balanced perspective, crucial voices like Peter and Rahul Mukerjea's absence leave a void. Their testimonies could have provided clarity and closure.

Ultimately, the series underscores the need for justice for Sheena Bora. Indrani Mukerjea's attempts to evade accountability should not go unpunished. It's a stark reminder that behind every headline lies a human tragedy, and Sheena Bora deserves to be heard and vindicated.

Wow. Just wow.
dsb-021424 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
From what I can tell after having watch the series, Indrani is a narcissistic psychopath, her son is a selfish, whiny boy, and her youngest daughter is a spoiled brat. The husband? Wimpy. The only one I really think has got some guts is the boyfriend/fiancé. Do I think Indrani is guilty? Absolutely. The husband? Guilty. The driver? Guilty. The enjoyment of this series is watching the family lie and lie about pretty much everything. What are they afraid of? Their reputations are already ruined. As for the criminal record of Rahul - 5 or 6 pot PLANTS? Traffic violations? Yep ... I was young and stupid once too.

And the poor lawyer who she hired to 'defend' her? She couldn't even shut up enough to let him speak on her behalf!

GUILTY!!!!

Her eyes reveal what she wants to hide
thedategenie29 February 2024
Have been digging up everything on this case from old YouTube videos for the last 1 week when this series was originally supposed to be released. Have been having trouble sleeping when those eyes of Indrani appear in my mind. After she was released on bail, she went on a media blitz and did many other interviews promoting her book which gives her version of the events and supposedly are the truth. In any of those interviews, she doesn't touch on some basic questions like who are her (indrani's) biological parents. She appears to suggest sometimes that she was adopted and some other times that her father was her stepfather. Secondly, who is the biological father of Sheena. I thought Das was saying the truth when he said both Sheena and Mikael were his. Funnily, even Indrani's lawyer in this series refers to Das as Sheena's father when Indrani interjects him. And lastly, the cell data on the night of the murder. Yeah! She was looking for farmlands, alright.

As for the series, I thought Netflix did an immaculate job of creating a mini series keeping all sides to the best of their ability and adding bits from beside the main camera that put things in perspective like how Indrani was interacting with her lawyers.

She is a psychopathic, narcissistic, evil genius but she is not fooling anyone.

Good start, but I was hoping for more depth
mangos-884811 April 2024
A short internet search shows that the $90 million that Indrani and Peter syphoned out of INX media were kept in three Mauritius companies where Sheena Bora was named as the beneficiary.

Sheena wanted to get married, which would make Rahul her next of kin and he could claim rights to these syphoned millions. Rahul had a deeply negative opinion of Indrani which eventually was assumed by Sheena as well. So Sheena had to die before she would completely get from underneath Indrani's control and could endanger the $90mil.

This documentary was very interesting, I was on the edge of my seat. However, omitting the most obvious questions made it a fail for me: if you can't give the answers you should still voice the questions, if you really are an investigative journalist.

1. So whose body was it ultimately?

2. If it's Sheena's body, who is her father?

3. Where is the cell phone tracking data of the victim and the accused on the day/time of the murder?

4. Sheena's cell phone was used after her alleged death; what was its location? The US or Indrani's apartment? Who was paying for this phone number to stay in service?

5. What was the motive for her murder?

6. Did Sheena have a will + who was the beneficiary?

7. Who would benefit from her death indirectly?

8. Where are interviews with Sheena's friends or colleagues?

9. Why wasn't more attention devoted to INX Media and its nearly immediate demise?

10. How can a murder trial last for 7 years, with hundreds of witnesses/exhibits still not presented?

The killer lies in front of a camera for the world to see
realitysucksr2 March 2024
I should have turned it off the minute I saw Rajdeep Sardesai. I kept watching thinking maybe, he was just one of the many journos. But the moment he started showing up more and more, I realized it had lost all credibility without a trace. Netflix, granted you are new to the Indian market. But ask your teams to do the research before investing in such appalling series where the killer, not the alleged, not the suspect, not the falsely accused, the actual killer is given an audience, camera and a stage to actually lie about killing her own daughter. You did not call it the Sheena Bora Case. You titled a series after a killer. There is really no precedent for such atrocity in India or the world for this. You should have done your homework to know India Today has ties with the killer and family which is why this whole show was created to revamp her image. And you actually now aided a killer without even realizing it. Take this off air, now.

Fountain of Lies
amvisindia14 March 2024
This would have been a more appropriate title for the Documentary. This woman is a Gold Digger & she will do anything to go/get where/what she wants to go/get. She is a dangerous concoction of Foolish Bravado, Temptress (an uniquely ugly looking one though), Compulsive liar, Overconfident & a pathetic human being. She says Peter Lied, Lied, Lied & Lied...see who is saying that ? This is a very weirdly patched family. Her youngest daughter with her Crass language is a clone of her mother. Why have they not used Digital Forensics to Nail this woman and her accomplices ? Beats me !!

Money Power & its Actors are having the last laugh. The lawyer who is protecting this monster...hope his conscience overwhelms his professional interest.

Clearly guilty
njboden6 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It's very clear that Indrani is as guilty as sin here! Her poor character is in abundant display throughout, just look at how she abandoned her children and made them lie, claiming they were her brother and sister, also she's a proven liar with soulless eyes. She didn't see the children from her first marriage or send them money but left to marry someone else, the excuse being that they would have a better life with their grandparents and that she didn't have the money and couldn't find the time to do so - this doesn't add up as she later had the money and time to do so and she accused her father of an incestuous rape, allegedly meaning that her firstborn children were his, so why leave them under the care of their abusive father/grandfather?

It's clear from her daughter, Vidhie, that she was abusive towards her children - Vidhie only admitted to being slapped in the face a few times by her but Indrani actually threatened to slap her so hard she'd knock all her teeth out live on camera, she clearly Vidhie is downplaying things due to the fact that her mother still controls her purse strings. She also sent her son to a loony bin where he was basically tortured in the flimsy pretext of him having a bit of weed, to punish him for saying he was her son.

Finally, the fact that Indrani lied about meeting Sheena on the day of her death, that she worked for Robert Murdoch, that she hasn't requested a retesting of the DNA evidence despite alleging that it's not Sheena's DNA and that she lied about Sheena going to America and seemed unconcerned when she disappeared, adamantly claiming that she'd run away rather than being murdered, are all things that aren't in her favour. I know how I'd vote if I were a juror!

Poor, dear Sheena
weissedel26 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
OMG. The "sister-mother" appears to be a textbook narcissist/psychopath. I'm appalled by her callousness.

This documentary recounts the murder of a 25 year old woman, Sheena Bora, who was engaged to be married. No one other than her mother had a motive to harm her.

My heart goes out to Sheena's fiance, Rahul. He's the only person who truly loved her and looked for her during the 3 years she was "missing". He and Sheena Bora are the only victims in this squalid story.

Her body was found and IDed via DNA. So, there is no doubt she is deceased. Yet, the "sister-mother" continues to insist that Sheena is alive.

Such a terrible miscarriage of justice. RIP, Sheena Bora. Your mother can no longer hurt you.

Narrative Rahuls vs indrani's
deepakdigga7 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
After watching the movie, I feel that Indrani may not have been the one who wanted to kill Sheena. Consider this narrative: Rahul, who highlighted Sheena's disappearance, was the last person she met before the murder, receiving a breakup message from her. He could have killed her due to the breakup, then framed Indrani to fit his narrative. Perhaps he tipped off the police to divert suspicion. Additionally, it's suspicious that both Peter and Rahul, father and son, are helping each other. This raises questions about their involvement in the case.

Moreover he is an actor, father because he wanted to save his son, sidelined indrani and said to the police that she might have done that.

Also he called sheenas ex father 77 times his father 100 times post that incident to plan that frame.

And he knew because indrani hid these many facts about her identity, he could easily frame her.

And one last thing rahul is jobless, spoiled brat, hate indrani, his family hates her, i think this narrative dots pretty well.

About as documentary as Roadrunner and Coyote?
girlgroovy3 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Well Indrani keeps referring to Sheena as unconfirmed deceased. Her lawyer states he has issues with the way the DNA was processed. Would it not make sense for the prosecution to just send bone samples of the recovered body out to be tested again by an impartial third-party lab? There really is no need to speculate as to whether the bones found were or were not those of Sheena Bora - that should be easy enough to determine? As for who is the father or Mekhail and Sheena, that is something else that could be easily determined. Test grandad and the other dood - name I forget - see who matches? Why is that a guessing game?

This Indira - ooops North-American me - Indrani woman is just total creepy. One is immediately overcome with the sense of "avoid completely - walk on other side of road". This so-called Netflix "documentary" had more holes in it than my kitchen colander. I cannot take it at all seriously. If anything, this show was likely generated by Indrani herself to get her side out or obfuscate further. This would explain why no one else from the family - other than her living V daughter who re-discovered her love for mom once mom had cash again - appears in it to speak.

Whatever happened to the missing 90$ million or so from the INX start-up? Never mentioned again lol. There is a brief reference to the couple leaving India to live in the UK - when was this, before or after Sheena's disappearance? Why did they not remain in the UK? I could go on but you get my point. As I said, more holes than my colander.

Major messed up cast of folk here all around. To call this show a documentary is a real stretch equivalent to calling The Simpsons classic literature. On the plus side, it is at least an English-language release - rare for Netflix in Canada these days.

She Obviously dii It
itsdways3 March 2024
All this series even more proofs that she did it. She is a Narcissist Personality, she has clear motives to kill her two children. She is smart because she is a narcissist personality they are high achievers and have no emotions. The fact that she agreed to be interviewed for this series shows her narcissistic behaviour and proves her guilty even more. She thought she would trick the public but any emotional being can see right through it that she called her ex husband and was trying to murder both her kids. Psychopaths have a tendency to be smart but they commit mistake by not having emotions and anyone who sees the documentary can figure out that she did it. She had clear motives.

The things we do for money.....
gvivek-6643129 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
JUSTICE FOR SHEENA

Indrani life and motives are clearly driven by money and fame only. She left her kids, married more powerful people and tells mount of lies and that's the reason she certainly killed sheena as well.

As per her version everybody else is lying, evidence are all wrong but she haven't done anything wrong. Vidhie is totally confused like what's goin on so finally she decided to stay with mom's money side.

I think the reason indrani agreed to do this documentary to clean her image but i think its backfired.

How can a person be hiding in kashmir from last 12 years ? Haha....ask yourself this question.

Netflix's each character assassination of the case!
sexybavi1 March 2024
The first doubt arose when a person like her took all the effort to be upfront media / releasing a book.

From the start, there were loopholes where you can assassinate her character.

Manipulative, narcissistic and perhaps a Pathological liar. Anything to portray her good and well. Well done indrani, you don't need an advocate cuz you're one for yourself.

Regardless your strength since you were young is admirable and much amicable but your intentions and genuinity is zero.

The fact that you claim you have been a good mother even though not a perfect mother is dubious.

May you get justice in your next birth sheena.

It was a great documentary where everything and everyone was showed as it is.

Vidhie has totally drank her life off her mess and trying to retrieve slowly by yoga at the end n ofc siding her mom cuz she knows where the cash flow is.

Netflix should not give so much footage to a murderer
man_utd-813037 April 2024
It's a disgrace that Netflix is giving so much time and footage to a narcissist and killer. I feel my time is wasted and would rather stop having Netflix subscription if they continue making such crappy series.

Netflix could have easily summed it up in 1 episode or 2 , at max. So the creative heads of Netflix, be what you are paid for and what people expect you to be. Do not take a real story and make it creative thereafter.

I am falling short of words , there is such an utter lack of content and the documentary is overstretched.

The only positive is that I got good views of Mumbai. Hope we get better things to watch in future.

Poorly done documentary about an interesting murder case
dylio14 April 2024
While this is an interesting story it is not a well made documentary. There is at best an hour's worth of material in this four hour documentary. The main subject is Indrani Mukherjea. She seems to be a famous and wealthy woman who is CEO of a media company. She seems to have achieved this mostly by marrying a media tycoon named Peter Mukherjea. Her daughter/sister (this issue is discussed at length) Sheena Bora goes missing in 2012. Indrani tries to tell everyone that Sheena left India and is probably living in the United States but her fiancé does not believe this at all. Her fiancé is her step brother which I think makes this start to feel like an Indian episode of Jerry Springer. Anyhow a body is found 3 years later and is maybe(?) identified as Sheena and Indrani is the main suspect in her murder. There is no satisfactory conclusion here and it does not seem much effort is made by anyone making this documentary or by Indian law enforcement to get to the truth.

Justice For Sheena!
aerober2 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I am not from India and had never heard of this case before watching this documentary. I thought it was well done, and it gave time to everyone to tell their side. But after watching, there is absolutely no doubt that Indrani murdered her daughter and feels no remorse. She seems like a narcissist and sociopath. I'm sure she thought that by doing her interview that she could convince everyone she was innocent (when it was the opposite). I found myself yelling at the screen it was so infuriating. She is an absolute monster. On the other hand, you can just tell how much Rahul loved Sheena, and it is so heartbreaking that he was the only one looking for her. I hope Indrani and the others involved spend the rest of their lives in prison!
