Sex & Nudity

  • None. The only allusion to intercourse is the fact that one character falls pregnant while married.

Violence & Gore

  • Typical fighting among children. Two little girls tussle, pulling hair, and are quickly separated. Some pushing. A little girl accidentally falls and scrapes her knee. Only some blood is shown. Nothing very violent nor graphic.
  • One particular episode features the topic of corporal punishment, which at the time is still legal in Korea though falling out of fashion with the newer generations. The punishment used is striking the back of the child's legs with a switch, leaving some abrasions which are later treated with a slave. No blood.
  • A sister bonks her little brothers' heads when they irritate her, to which her mother whines the daughter's name, in an ongoing slapstick gag.

Profanity

  • The English subtitle track used by Netflix America contains no cursing throughout the entire series.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • No depictions of smoking nor recreational drug use. Alcohol is kept to a minimum, if at all present.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • No jump scares. Pure drama. Thematic depictions of infidelity, divorce, concealed and then discovered adoption, strained father-daughter relationship, and corporal punishment (limited to one episode).
