Consolidated's B-32 Dominator was a competitor to Boeing's B-29 Superfortress for the US Air Force's long range heavy bomber program. Ultimately it proved to be a solid aircraft but a problematic prototype lead to delays, so the plane did not go into production until the end of World War Two when there was no longer much need for it.—David Foss
