I really thought this was an excellent offering. It explains the microscopic (and even smaller) world around us. It takes us into a dewdrop to see everything that is suspended there during its ephemeral existence. Neil DeGrasse Tyson takes us through the process of photosynthesis as sugars are formed, carbon dioxide absorbed, and oxygen released. It also talks about adaptive species that became necessary and predictable based on natural phenomena. This eventually takes us inside the atom and to the cosmos, where we look at the implications of the Big Bang. We get information about neutrinos, subatomic particles, and waves and photons. The olfactory process is investigated. There is so much science in this episode and it is presented with enthusiasm and delight (as are most). At this point the series seemed to gain momentum.
