Poor research on Singaporean slang and accents

It was fun to see that there was a Singaporean character in this episode. The only issue I had about this episode was that the Singaporean character had an American accent and nothing close to a Singaporean one. Plus, it was nice to hear a Singlish word, and correctly used, but it was pronounced "Anglo" and not "Ang Moh" while Anglo does refer to an English speaker, Ang Moh is the term used in Singapore to refer to a foreigner. Mostly directed to Westerners. I get that this is an American show, but the lack of research into foreign characters was a bit weak. This includes the accent on the Argentinian character was fully American as well.

Extremely Fresh Storyline!!!

After 25 years, the writing team of this series continues to impress me because there are so few repeats of storylines even though there could be. This particular situation was such a fresh and extremely interesting experience. Especially since it turned out there was a much closer large city that the storyline could have been set in, besides New York, that would have worked and made much more sense but of course could not have been used for a Law and Order show. But the writers gave credence to the premise that it should be set in New York, which made it believable to me, at least. Of course, the cast and crew were up to the usual high standards and with Ms. Jordana Spiro now joining, I believe the current season will continue with the best of Mr. Wolf's L&O leading NBC's ratings. Thank you very much!

Did not like at all!

From loving this show from day one and not being able to turn my eyes away since! Repeatedly watching each episode over and over through the years. I'm saddened to say that after tonights episode it might very well be its last. All the new characters lack the personality needed for those characters they just didn't work well together! No luster if that makes sense! VERY DULL! I SO LOVE LAW AND ORDER SVU! It will kill me to see this end but watching the last couple shows especially tonight, it hurts 😥 to watch! Please find a way to bring this back to the show we've come to know and loved so much!

At least they tried to get a little bit creative with this episode. They had some college students, with absolutely ridiculous and unbelievable dialogue, trying to score with a girl from each country. But it was never quite clear what the crime was and they didn't have anyone suggest rape until very late in the episode which seemed odd.

This was different, so points for that, but it was not particularly great either, just better than some this season.

This show still has a little bit of life in it, but I expect so much more and think they need new writers and a new showrunner or something to shake it up.
