I was wondering where they were going with the Noah stuff in the beginning and even when the episode was over I was still wondering, but I guess taking a break from the case of the week and letting us know that these characters are humans and have real lives is not the worst decision in the world.
But the teenagers holding the girl hostage, a huge unit being deployed when we had no reason to believe they were an imminent threat, and Olivia's weird monologue that tried to be Emmy bait, but fell way flat, it all just seemed to force and felt like SVU pretending to be the kind of show it clearly is not.
