A real original film for and about music. Inspired by a true story about a local indie rock band

Warning: Spoilers
Watching this movie, i could not not move my body to the cool music and the use of the music to play a part of the story. To have been apart of the original "Dryads", and the gang around the band, i recognized several scenes, like it was from my memory. The movie and it's use of music as tool to push the narration reminded me of the work of Danny Boyle. It was cool, and very cool. In the real life "Dryads" was only boys. No girl was ever apart of the band or the gang, but in the movie, "Dryads", is only girls except "Thomas", played by Allan Hyde from "True Blood". The acting is very natural, very good movie acting, and i guess the young first time feature movie director Sten Hellevig had something to do with that. It's a solid movie, that doesn't play it "safe", but do things that hasn't been done before in a Norwegian movie. It is 90 minutes watching a fun movie and but within the 90 minutes you get great music as well, so it's almost 2 for 1. The Cinematography is beautiful and organically done by Marius Matzow Gulbrandsen. And as mentioned before, the actors made it all real by natural acting, directed by first time movie director Sten Hellevig. Mr. Hellevig has a very bright future as a movie director, that is for sure. The real life "Dryads" and the entourage was way more arrogant and dismissal of others then shown in the movie. As the only band playing music inspired by "Charlatans", "Ride", "Stone Roses", "Blur" in 1992-1995/96(Later on the band was more inspired by prog rock, like old "Genesis","Supertramp", "Jeff Lynne" and "Led Zeppelin" to name a few.), the "Dryads" gang had a sense of entitlement, by KNOWING they played the only cool music in Norway. The movie is set in 2015, and only a couple of songs from Thom Hell(a former member), and Henrik Moy Askildsen(founder of the band and the music writer). The bulk of the music in the movie was written by a friend from before the movie, Marius Christiansen.

Several of key members of the film crew has experienced partying with "Dryads" and "the gang", in the 90ties.

As i have expressed with this review, this movie is worth the time and the money to go see. Take a look inside the creation of a band and friendships like never before.
