Bob "Sully" Sullivan and Russ T Nailz welcome investment adviser Gabe Wisdom, Steve JJ Weisman, The Scam Man, and Scott Painter, CEO of TrueCar.com. Much of the show's early focus is on the current downward movement in the markets, including a major drop in the NASDAC. Sully and Russ discuss the results of the Super Bowl and the historic trend for a gain for the year after the win by a team from the NFC. Wisdom joins Sully and Russ for further discussion on the market and the possibility of a correction. While some investors may be concerned about a pullback, Wisdom points out that this could be a good time to invest in strong companies that are seeing a drop in stock prices. As Weisman joins the show, Sully recounts his daughters' recent experience of having small ($9.84) charges appear on their credit card statements. This is just the latest fallout from the data breach of major companies such as Target, with hackers setting up phony company websites and then making small, hard to notice charges on stolen credit cards. Weisman strongly encourages consumers to keep a close watch on their credit card statements, report unusual activity immediately, and avoid using debit cards for purchases. Finally, Sully and Russ welcome Painter, whose company TrueCar.com is providing a new way for consumers to shop for their next automobile. TrueCar.com provides consumers with up-front pricing information from a network of car dealers around the country to help with purchasing and negotiation. While many consumers believe auto dealers make at least 10% profit, Painter says it is normally closer to 2%. He believes that a more open and transparent process will benefit both consumers and dealers in the long run.

Eckelberry also shares the company's recent partnership with AquaGreen Fish Farms, Ltd., a zero-discharge facility in Israel. Root joins the show to discuss the 2014 Super Bowl and how gambling affects sports, particularly football. Root points out that over $119 million was bet on the Super Bowl in Las Vegas establishments, the most ever, and that an estimated $10 billion in wagers were placed worldwide. He argues that it is gambling that drives Madison Avenue's willingness to spend money on Super Bowl commercials, even as late in the game as the Fourth Quarter.

With the current market climate, Wisdom sees a move out of interest-sensitive areas and into areas that do well when the market heats up. John Kirkland explores the two kinds of small-cap investors; day traders who generally lose and those who analyze, buy and hold, and where people "hide out" when the market drops. Russ and Sully have guests Gabriel Wisdom of American Money Mangement, Steve JJ Weisman, "The Scam Man" and Riggs Eckelberry of OriginOil on the show. To begin the show, the guys talk about the market looking good, based on Janet Yellen's statement that the current program will continue. the continuation of bond buying to keep interest rates down, but the Federal government has been slowing the buying. Origin Oil CEO Riggs Eckelberry dials in on Skype to talk about California's difficult situation. A severe drought at the same time it is planning to allow more fracking. The state needs to be looking to expand technology to help situation.

Sully and Russ welcome Brent Wilsey of Wilsey Asset Management, Kristin Bentz the President of Talented Blonde LLC/Executive Director of PMG Venture Group, and Cyril Moreau the CEO of COREwafer Industries to the show. Brent Wilsey shares his investing philosophy with the guys. He says to buy good, solid companies while looking at earnings and cash flow, compared with industry averages. Also, look at balance sheet, and likelihood of profit. A great question to consider is "would you buy the whole company?" If not, don't buy the stock. Kristin Bentz shows why she was the only person that predicted poor holiday sales season. She explains that January is clearance month and usually little going on, and allegedly there has been some drop in gift cards and teen retail. Bentz predicted a flat to down retail sales figure because much of the management is out of touch of the youth market. Furthermore technology is now more important as a fashion statement and because of this, the area to now follow is the luxury consumer market. Finally Cyril Moreau of COREwafer Industries joins the guys for the final segment. COREwafer is a holding company and the leader in semiconductor industry diagnostics. CW industries has 1500 customers between U.S. and Asia and holds that their future is acquisition of more technology companies. Wisdom says to realize these are normal drops and should take advantage of them. He then discusses the UC school system, some of the best colleges in the world but among the worst in terms of investment returns on endowments. Gabe goes on to bet that interest rates would go up over next 32 years, but in the short term UC Davis needed money and the system lost $9 million on fees and penalties with rate swaps. James Hirsen, of Hirsen on Hollywood, and author of Hollywood Nation and Tales of the Left Coast calls in to discuss the FCC. Hirsen explains the FCC announcement to monitor U.S. news rooms. Based on something done in Annenberg School of Journalism, under auspices of fairly representing minorities by sending monitors to newsrooms across the country. This flies into the heart of the 1st Amendment Free Press clause. Hirsen also points out that interestingly enough, much of the major news media did not report on the FCC plans. It is almost chilling that only blogs, FOX and a few others covered the story. David Move, from Huffington Post Weird News. Shares a crazy story about two men accused of sexually abusing cows. While one was abusing the other filming, the farmer caught them on security video. People commenting on the story wondering why this is news...why is it not news?

According to Wisdom, over the past 100 years the Dow Jones Average has had an annual growth of 5.3% even with the Great Depression, two World Wars and other major events. Riggs Eckelberry joins the show to talk about OriginOil's work in the oil and gas industry, and particularly how the company's Electro-Water Separation technology is able to clean the water used in fracking. Eckelberry points out that the U.S. has more oil in shale that can be recovered than has been produced in the past 150 years, by using fracking. One of the major concerns with fracking is the production of waste water that must be transported, cleaned and disposed of. Using the OriginOil technology, frack water can be cleaned to much higher levels than before. OriginOil's technology makes fracking more environmentally sensitive than ever. Carrie Schwab-Pomerantz, daughter of Charles Schwab and senior VP of Charles Schwab & Co., joins Sully and Russ to discuss her new book The Charles Schwab Guide to Finances After 50. Sully Sullivan and Russ T Nailz are joined by investment advisor Gabe Wisdom, Hollywood insider James Hirsen and portfolio manager Chris Franke on The Big Biz Show. Gabe Wisdom talks with Sully and Russ about the current state of the market and points out how the latest changes in the Dow 30 may have kept the overall average from going even farther above 1700. He explains that while former Dow 30 members Hewlett-Packard and Alcoa have been up, their replacements have been flat over the same time. James Hirsen joins the show to talk about the current state of the film industry and how poor showings from recent releases could mean a significantly poor summer season. The July 4th weekend was down 44% from the year before and there are few upcoming releases that might turn the summer around before the fall season begins. Chris Franke, Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS Wealth Management Americas joins Sully and Russ to talk about the investment patterns of Millennials. Franke explains that Millennials grew up seeing their parents go through the Great Recession and are now wary of investing - they see success in terms of saving money. Because of this they now tend to put their money in traditional savings, resulting in losses compared to inflation. The key is to work on educating them on the basics of long-term investing.

Sully Sullivan and Russ T Nailz are joined on The Big Biz show by asset manager Brent Wilsey, scam expert Steve Weisman and corporate trainer and funding advisor Anthony Dohrmann Brent Wilsey talks with Sully and Russ about the current market outlook following the Dow Jones passing the 1700 mark. While there has been a pullback, which panics average investors, Wilsey explains this is always to be expected after a new high mark. He also points out that the NFIB Small Business Confidence Index, while it dropped over the last month from 96 to 95, is still a good number. The drop simply means that small business owners don't see large increases going forward. Steve Weisman joins the show to talk about some recent scams that fall under the category of "spear fishing." These are generally emails that look to be from legitimate sources and are addressed to individuals rather than generic customers. Often scammers get names and emails by hacking other users in order to target people directly. Key clues to these scams often include serious errors in grammar or punctuation because they originate from other countries. Anthony Dohrmann talks about the importance of communication and preparation for entrepreneurs pitching investors or other contacts. He explains that confidence is important for both sides of the discussion and that entrepreneurs will benefit from being prepared for any and all questions that might come up. Dohrmann says that the two biggest reasons for failure in new businesses are lack of planning and lack of access to capital, and both can be avoided in part through good communication.

Riggs Eckelberry, CEO of OriginOil, and Nicholas Eckelberry, Head of Research, join Sully and Russ to talk about the company's latest development in its proprietary Electro Water Separation system. Tests have shown that the process produces chlorine dioxide, which can be used as part of a pre-treatment step for frac flowback and produced water. The system has already proven successful in cleaning contaminants from frack water and extending the life of filter membranes. The new breakthrough has the ability to further optimize the system as well as improve the quality of crude by removing hydrogen sulfide that makes crude "sour." Eric Basu joins The Big Biz Show to talk about internet security following the discovery of further hacking attacks from China, Russia and the Ukraine. A recent hacking attack from China accessed records of top secret security clearance applicants, providing a wealth of information for identity theft. Basu explains how hackers frequently practice on low-level targets before attempting major hacks. Finally, Fred Saxon returns to The Big Biz Show from a trip to New York where he had the opportunity to interview cast members of the new movie Jersey Boys. Saxon shares some clips from the interview and recalls his own connections with the original Four Seasons, who inspired Jersey Boys. Sully, Russ and Fred also talk about the poor showing by summer films as well as the recently announced Emmy Award nominations.
