I saw this film at the Manhattan Film Festival. Quietus is beautifully shot, and thrilling in a way that will make your mind spin for days. Not everything is explained by the end of the film, which makes it even more creepy. Great viewing for people who like a movie that makes you think and question. Dark in a way that's similar to Batman: The Dark Knight - except this film has complex, strong, uncertain female characters who battle difficult decisions and tough choices, and learn about themselves in the process. If you want something that doesn't take hours to watch but will make your mind tick, this is a film worth viewing!
Director Simone Kisiel is a talent to be reckoned with, and Maggie Hood is an incredible, chilling actress. This is a mid-low budget film, but the talented cast and great direction make it feel alive and full. Looking forward to Quietus II!.
