Life is the name of the game
Prismark1031 August 2017
This was a one off special as Miranda Hart interviews Bruce Forsyth, recalls his career and has some fun. McFly are the house band and Bruce gets to sing, dance and play some piano.

There is nothing really much new here as he talks about the help his parents gave him, Sunday Night at the Palladium, Beat the Clock and then The Generation Game, his defection to ITV, Play your Cards Right and then his career receiving a boost with Strictly Come Dancing.

It helps that Miranda is obviously a fan of Bruce but some of it does look a little contrived, Miranda was not even alive when Bruce did Sunday Night at the London Palladium and it is obvious she just saw the clips that she is discussing with Bruce.

Sadly with Bruce Forsyth's recent passing the program has added poignancy and it was nice to see that he was in good health as far back as 2013 as his health declined sharply from late 2015 on-wards.

Didn't he do well?

A tribute to the legendary Bruce Forsyth at the time but this programme now takes on extra relevance now that we have sadly recently lost Sir Bruce.

Miranda Hart does a good job of recalling the big moments of Bruce's life, and it's lovely to hear Bruce himself talking about his career.

A fitting tribute to the great man.
