Marion Cotillard as Lady Noire Warning: Spoilers
This is a 7-minute short film which is obviously with a mix of drama, crime, mystery and film noir. Cotillard is possibly my favorite actress right now, so I was curious about it. Visually it's nice to watch just like Cotillard and the blonde near the end, but in terms of story, I hoped for more. They included the Eiffel Tower too, but that was really just for the sake of it. It wasn't entirely clear what was going on. A man was kidnapped and I believe it was Cotillard's duty to save him. Will she make it in time? The ending is just like from a James Bond movie with the announcement that Cotillard will soon return for another film. The writer and director here is Cotillard's maestro Olivier Dahan who directed her to Oscar glory the year before this came out. Sadly a forgettable effort and the music was way over the top. Not recommended.
