at what point did this show ever seem realistic?
tulipandthepirate24 February 2019
After reading other reviews I have to say that I don't for a minuet think this show was meant to be realistic, but it is great fun and highly entertaining, I have been really enjoying it and having some good laughs, oh the creative ways in which to kill off humans, and there are even some cooking tips!

It's a long Pig !
mRwestlife4 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
" It's a long Pig " !

The Timing of the episode is so seductive to me to sleep 7 days waiting for the next one :| ..

I liked the elasticity they gave Will , so there'll be no boundaries to stand at when judging the character ,, breaking all the boundaries is chaos , when chaos is arranged according to the mind of Will , it's a charming Chaos ..

Hannibal is the devil ,, the kind of devil that whisper you to do bad things to have satisfaction of your existence ,, and to feel alive , to " act like GOD " if it takes you to feel alive ,, we all have Hannibal Lecter in our brains , the only reason we chose to ignore it , is the " Jack " side of us ..

I'm only saying this because I see the characters in these episodes , are representing Sigmund Freud model - structural theory - in an elegant way ..

Loved it ..

You don't know how good this episode is until you go back to it.

Hannibal was always a clever show.

This episode can seem a little confusing the first time through, but when you watch it again when you really know what is going on, you see it's true brilliance.

Is This Meal An Act Of God, Will ???
wandernn1-81-6832743 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So this episode begins in a place before the end of the last one. Or is it a vision?? As Graham is confronted by the Stag in his own home. Graham sees it as the Stag, but it is really the beast man killer. Even Steven. Oh yes Randall is his name.

Lecter takes Graham thru the process of the killing. As Graham truly descends into darkness, Lecter is coming along for the ride.

Crawford shows up at the museum to observe the trophy display of Randall, horrifically displayed in all his glory!!!

+1 Star for another set of beginning sequences.

Both Lecter AND Graham are brought to this new crime scene. Graham and Lecter both covering up for Graham. LOL Such hilarity.

Graham goes to talk to Freddie Lounds, who is deep at work in a book about Will Graham. Lounds throws out a theory that Chilton was really not the Ripper. And that Graham is hiding something. Ruh Roh.

Anyways now that we've moved along from Beastman killer now we can turn to Rich girl killer and Brother. Oh it's Pig Man!!! The character brilliantly portrayed by Gary Oldman in the Hannibal movie. And this guy, who is this? Michael Pitt?? Haha he does a really good job as Pig Man.

+1 Star for the introduction of Pig Man!!!

Okay!!! So moving right along! Graham is getting it on with Pig Man's sister at the same tie Lecter is having his own session with Dr. Bloom.

Freddie Lounds comes to Dr. Bloom and reveals her theory about both Lecter and Graham. That Lecter is really the Ripper, not Chilton. Uh oh now you know who is going to hear that news don't you???

Lecter has a meeting with Pig Man. Will this begin a bromance??? I think we all know how this is going to turn out. Pig Man pleads his case about his sister being quite the wack job.

But Pig Man allows Lecter to take home his own slaughtered pig, which of course Lecter quickly turns into a new dinner, just for him and Bloom.

Freddie Lounds goes to visit Graham at his House, but no one seeems to be home, so Lounds goes to check out Grahams' barn, with her trusty set of lockpicks! Ruh Roh, this could be bad!!!

Behind a plastic screen Lounds finds some sort of carcass hanging from the rafters...what is that?? And oh no a stand alone freezer filled with many freezer bags full of.....meat?? Oh no Freddie Lounds what did you do??? Why oh Why??? :)

+1 Star for Freddie Lounds exciting search of Will's Barn!!!

Graham brings a fresh slab of meat to Lecters's House and they cook a fine meal together. Lecter beams with pride at his new protege chef who helped him to create this fine meal. What a lovely closing scene between Lecter and Graham. Remember, it is very important that you should eat at the table with family. :)

This episode ends with an 8/10

Freddie Knows
ZegMaarJus1 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Will, he killed Randall with his bare hands. Parts of Randall his body has been found at the museum. Freddie doesn't believe that Chilton is the Chesapeake Ripper. Hannibal has sex with Alana, their affair is intense. Will has sex with Margot. Hannibal has a meeting with Mason, Margot's brother. Freddie found organs in Will his freezer. Hannibal and Will eat their meal together. Amazing Episode of Hannibal Season 2, what a great show this is. The dark aspects are more clear every Episode! Mads Mikkelsen his performance is so outstanding. He is just the best they could have asked for this role!

Will the Cannibal? [9/10]
panagiotis199318 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Hannibal Season 2 Episode 10: Episode 9 was great and I gave it a rating of 8.5/10. Such an intense way to start the episode. Wow the way that they transform the body? Who did that? Was it Will? Was it Hannibal? Its absolutely brutal and disturbing. Will has a new girlfriend, good for him. No surprise that Will sees Alana when having sex. What's going on, does Will have human parts in his freezer? Im confused. Has Will become a cannibal himself? What is going on? Does Hannibal know that that the meat is human? He probably knows. Has Will lost his mind? Intense, crazy episode. My rating is 9/10.

If This Means That HORRIBLE Character Freddie...
setgetsiin12 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
...is dead, then yes. 10/10 ad infinitum. She should have been served up in S1E2 for being a true human pig. Or since the mushroom garden episode, anyway.

"Can't beat Hannibal, then join him," is EXACTLY what happened to Clarice in the book series...!!! Go and read the books (you'll never forgive Mr. Pitt's version of Mason, which is a twisted Thomas Dolby Halloween costume).

I am loving this direction, mostly because I have read all the books.

Makes no sense at all anymore
MasterOfTragedy7 August 2015
I loved Hannibal up until Episode 7 of season 2 or so. Now it just gets more and more senseless and hard to watch. This episode was just complete nonsense. The characters act either complete weird or stupid. I really can't believe what they have done to this beautiful show. Every character is now annoying as hell. A story is non existent anymore. Just a dream here, a meal there, some senseless blabber here and some stupid character actions there. I will still continue and hope maybe this is all just a bad dream and the story will change for the better again. Currently you can't care about any of the characters. None of them acts in any comprehensible way.

Leaves behind any semblance of reality
BenTrova6 May 2014
Now Will Graham is a true killer who hides his crime(s) and rather than being appalled by vicious acts and cannibalism he at least emulates these to curry favor with Lecter. The premises of the Thomas Harris story have been vacated. The traits of the characters are blended and reformed. Jack Crawford is taken again and again as a dupe. There is no one fighting for a positive good any longer. Every scene has a 50% chance of being an irrelevant artsy dream, typically centered on an unappetizing obsession with animal-based foods. They should circulate a want ad for an new and actual hero.

Let them be vegan!
