Martin Scorsese, Joe Dante, Wes Craven, David Del Valle, Barbara Steele, Victoria Price are interviewed for this forty-eight minute documentary that discusses not only HOUSE OF WAX but also the 3-D boom of the 1950's. We also get archival interviews with Vincent Price and director André De Toth.
If you're a fan of HOUSE OF WAX then there's no doubt that you're going to want to watch this documentary as it does a perfect job at explaining what made the film so special and why it became such a huge hit. The film perfectly covers the rise of 3-D and you've got the likes of Scorsese explaining why they feel HOUSE OF WAX is the best example for the format. The documentary also discusses what impact the film had on Vincent Price who would become a horror superstar thanks to this.
The rise and downfall of the format is also discussed and there's no question that this here is one of the best documentaries out there that covers the subject. Whenever you can get the likes of Scorsese and Craven to discuss something you've certainly got a winner.
