An excellent conceptual video
julians031 January 2014
Ad Lucem is the latest installment in the Queensrÿche video history. It is a conceptual video for the songs X2, Spore, Midnight Lullaby, and A World Without. All of the songs come from their latest self titled album Queensrÿche (2013), which is the first to introduce Powerhouse Todd La Torre as lead singer.

The story revolves mostly around the lyrics of A World Without, which is one of the most powerful songs in the album.

Along the video you'll get to see cameos from all band members, and when paying close attention, those cameos make you dig deeper into the story, which is more complex than it seems to be at the first view.

James "Jimbo" Barton was in charge of the Sound design for Ad Lucem, so make sure to pay very good attention to it since he included a share of familiar sounds from previous albums, which is a pleasant surprise.

The cast includes Geoffrey Kennedy, Brian Krause, Cathy Baron, and all five members of the band.

Ad Lucem is a taste of what the new/old time Queensrÿche is up to these days. Hope you enjoy it.
