- We open having organized a career fair at McKinley. Will is upset she hasn't arranged for anything in the arts.
Will tells the kids that as tough as it will be to find success in the arts, he believes in pursuing one's dreams. This week the theme is Billy Joel, somebody who had to fight through obstacles to become a superstar. Blaine and Sam both have interviews in New York that week, Blaine with NYADA and Sam with Hunter College. Blaine and Sam open the week with "Movin' Out."
Sam and Blaine will be staying with Rachel, Kurt and Santana this week.
Artie asks Becky what she's going to do after high school. He offers to help with her college search. Sue takes Artie aside and tells him to back off.
Marley isn't ready to forgive Jake. She thinks he'll always be that type of guy.
Blaine tells Kurt he's looking at safety schools, though Kurt thinks he's getting into NYADA. Blaine sings "Piano Man" at Rachel and Santana's diner.
Artie again approaches Becky about college and the choices available to handicapable students. She yells at him to "butt out."
Ryder asks Jake why he'd screw up his relationship with Marley. Jake says that's just who he is and sings "My Life."
Sam has his interview at Hunter College. It doesn't go well. Afterwards Sam tells Rachel he doesn't want to go to college. He has this vision of being a famous male model. Rachel wants to have a model shoot the following day so he can have some pictures to show agencies.
Artie sings "Honesty" to Becky. Afterwards she thinks it means that he is in love with her. He corrects her and says she needs to be honest with herself about a desire to attend college. She's worried about being made fun of.
Marley tells her mother about Jake. She's surprised he's trying to get her back and admits to missing him. She says she's glad they never had sex.
Sam has his photo shoot. He does pics both fully clothed and in his underwear.
Sue brings Artie to her office and yells at him for messing with Becky. Sue tells him she's looked into special needs programs but doesn't think Becky is ready. Artie wonders if perhaps Sue isn't ready to let her go. He says he's found a good Down's Syndrome program at the University of Cincinnati and is going to take her there. Sue seems okay with this.
Ryder asks Marley out. She says she needs a break from men. He promises never to hurt her and asks for a chance. She says she'll think about it and he sings "An Innocent Man." Afterwards she agrees to go on a date with him.
Blaine tells Kurt he doesn't think he wants to audition for NYADA. He tells him he has other interests. Kurt says he realizes Blaine is scared and tries to reassure him.
Artie and Becky look at one of the programs at UC. She ends up sitting in on one of the classes and seems to get along well with the other students.
Sam meets with an agency. She paints a very unglamorous picture of what his life would be like as a male model. He thinks he can take it, but she then tells him he needs to lose 10 pounds.
Kurt and Rachel tell Sam losing weight is a mistake and he should find a new agency. Kurt, Rachel Sam and Blaine sing "Just the Way You Are." Despite her objections even Santana jumps in at the end.
Becky tells Sue she really liked the college. She thinks she's out-grown high school. Sue helps her with her college essay.
Ryder tells Jake that he's with Marley. She tells Ryder that she still needs some space.
Blaine and Sam return from New York and give an update. Sue things their report indicates the foolishness of a career in the arts. Will responds by starting a rendition of "You May Be Right."
