Very funny show!
South Africans love Nik Rabinowitz. He has the audience roaring with laughter with jokes that poke fun at local culture and politics. I honestly didn't get a few of the jokes but the laughter is contagious and Nik delivers with high energy and insight. Nik is hilarious the way he interacts with the audience. Don't go to the loo during his show, he asked someone in the audience if they needed to go one or two. His gestures and his facial expressions are a crack up. And at the end of the show, he and another comedian do a duet of a hysterical musical number they put together. Don't know if anyone else could have pulled it off quite the same. If you want to have a good laugh, I recommend watching this movie.

He has the audience in South Africa cracking up!
In his comedy special "You Can't be Serious" Nik Rabinowitz pokes fun at the absurdity of South African culture and politics. His high energy performance keeps the audience roaring with laughter throughout as he moves from one observation to the next. I had no idea things were so crazy there! He pokes fun at American culture as well. No culture is safe in his show. But he kept me laughing. This guy has the audience cracking up. It's really funny when he cracks himself up, too. The laughter is contagious, if you want to have a good time, you have to check him out. Especially if you know anything about the South African culture you will be rolling over with laughter. I would love to see more of him.
A hilarious take on South African Culture!
I got to know a bunch of South Africans when I traveled abroad, and one thing I quickly discovered is that they have a very particular sense of humor. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I did I was often laughing uncontrollably as they talked about their country back home. With these fond memories in mind I decided to check out Nik Rabonowitz's special, and I found myself laughing throughout. Nik jumps from the World Cup, to politics, to Disneyland, to South Africa's burgeoning space program, all the time keeping his rapid fire delivery going. The audience laughs the entire time and I found myself laughing along throughout! A great stand up special and I can't wait for Nik to gain more of a following stateside!
Great Stand-up Special
A good friend of mine has been raving about Nik Rabinowitz for a long time always trying to get me to watch his stand up specials. I was hesitant at first mainly I'm not South African and I was afraid many of the jokes would fly over my head. Well I caught his stand-up special "You Can't Be Serious" and I was surprised by how much I laughed. Of course I didn't get all the jokes, but it didn't matter. Nik's infectious energy and rapid fire delivery kept me laughing throughout! I especially loved the bit he did about there being a South African Disneyland and the part about re-cutting American trailers/movies with an Afrikans perspective. All and all I truly enjoyed this special and recommend it for all fans of stand-up comedy!

Freakin' Hilarious!
Nik is crazy, and I mean this as a complement. He zooms in and out of impressions and news stories throughout this comedy special. He reminded me of Robin Williams, doing spot on impersonations, all while skewering South African culture with wit and sarcasm. The bits range from the World Cup, to their burgeoning space program, to a South African Disneyland. I especially loved when he re-did American movie trailers from an Afrikans perspective, hilarious. Throughout the audience is kept laughing and the Nik's high energy, rapid fire delivery never comes down. A great stand-up special and I cannot wait to see what Nik has to say next!

Fun, smart comedy
This guy captures a crowd like few high level comedians do, and he really keeps the laughs coming time after time. South African culture is in the cross hairs as Nik tackles many absurd topics with great wit and timing. Even though many of the slight subtleties of the jokes are over my head, due to my not being up on South African culture, I still laugh because even if I don't understand every detail of what he is talking about, he is still funny. If you are looking for a new up and coming comedian to laugh with, check this guy out before he is mega popular. This way you can talk about how you knew about him before everyone else, this will make all of your friends think you are cooler than you really are.
