Storyline

In October 1995, three French sisters gather in the coastal town of Atlit, in northern Israel, to sell their late parents' home. While they are initially overjoyed at being reunited, tensions quickly arise between the two elder sisters. Trapped in a loveless marriage in Canada, Darel, the eldest, finds herself ultimately unwilling to sell the house or part with anything in it. Cali meanwhile always felt like the unloved middle-child and can't wait for the sale to go through so she can return to Paris with the money. Caught between the two, the free-spirited Asia tries not to take sides and prefers spending time with Dan, a childhood friend. Things really start to go haywire when one after the other, the sisters are visited by apparitions of their parents and Cali notices a mysterious Palestinian boy hanging around the house. At the same time, the whole world has its eyes riveted on Israel, as for the first time, it looks like lasting peace in the region might finally be achieved. Written by Happy_Evil_Dude

As Leila, back to the spring (web)
30 August 2015 | by leplatypusSee all my reviews

Her best friend and near sister, Leila went native with « La Source Des Femmes », now it's her turn to do the same. For me, Geraldine's experience is better : it's a sort of « Beetlejuice » happening in Israel, minus the comedy but maybe with more emotion. It speaks to me because now 41 years, my parents are more older and like those sisters, i'm wondering what will happen to them and then to us when the family house will be ours… The cinematography is like usual rather ugly with orange/blue tones but we got a good feeling of Israel's countryside. As as sisters movie, usually the other siblings are rather transparent or irritating but this time, they are cool, especially the last one. If some scenes are useless and boring, it's only 87 minutes, so, it's a little and fast movie to find warm in cold times, i think
