Warning: Spoilers
Just watched the first episode. This was a good show but a little bit of a rocky start. It starts with kids running wild and takes a little bit to figure out who is who, who belongs in the house and the issues like drinking, pharmaceutical drugs and lack of parents. The show ended a bit abruptly and I can't wait to see the series in its entirety.

If you like Teen Beach Movie, the first season of Glee, or any other musical you will like this. You'll also recognize several YOUTUBERS like Vincent Cyr. It also uses contemporary songs and gives you links during the show, in the information box and at the end of the show to get the music.

Warning: Spoilers
The synopsis is: a girl has hallucinations that are musical in nature. Like that patient in that episode of "Scrubs" who heard everyone singing as they spoke. This show is not like that; meaning: it's not fun. The songs and music in this series are not original. Like "Across the Universe" used all Beatles' songs, this show uses all Pop songs of the day (2013-2014). So, no originality. I have no idea if the people actually in the show are actually the ones singing but I'll give the benefit-of-doubt that they are.

At first, based on the little information given before watching, I thought this was going to be a Comedy. It's not, it's a Drama. I was only able to watch the first season (four episodes) and they attempt to cram so much into each episode there's no fluidity, and you learn basically nothing about any character especially the main character. With the interspersed musical performances, it's just a mess. The musical numbers also play out like music videos with separations from the overall scenery of their locations; they try to make them fit but it just doesn't come off coherent, in my opinion. Seems the show is more about promoting the music rather than actually being about a teenager and/or family going through tribulations of losing their parents (one died, the other ran away.) Sometimes the "music videos" are back-to-back and take up most of the episode (of 22 minutes, on average) and the story, if there is a story, is lost in that chaos.

The idea, of course, isn't original but they could have added some type of originality to the show. The only reason, in my opinion, to watch it is solely for the music but then you could just watch the original by the original artists. So, this show...while having good production value etc., is just not really worth watching because one never really cares about the story and/or characters because nothing and no one is really developed.
