Quotes

  • [Daryl and Beth find the stash of food in the empty funeral home]

Daryl Dixon : Peanut butter and jelly, diet soda, and pig's feet. That's a white trash brunch right there.

Beth Greene : [Beth smiles]  It all looks good to me.

  • [Beth writes a thank you note for the people who left the food at the funeral home]

    Beth Greene : I'm gonna leave a thank-you note.

    Daryl Dixon : Why?

Beth Greene : For when they come back. If they come back. Even if they're not coming back, I still want to say thanks.

Daryl Dixon : Maybe you don't have to leave that. Maybe we stick around here for a while. They come back, we'll just make it work. They may be nuts, but maybe it'll be all right.

Beth Greene : [Beth smiles]  So you do think there are still good people around. What changed your mind?

    Daryl Dixon : You know.

    Beth Greene : What?

Daryl Dixon : [Daryl mumbles]  I don't know.

    Beth Greene : Don't...

Beth Greene : [Beth imitates Daryl's mumbles]  What changed your mind?

Beth Greene : [when Daryl looks quietly into Beth's eyes]  Oh.

  • [in a flashback, Daryl asks Bob the three questions]

Daryl Dixon : How many walkers have you killed?

Bob Stookey : Haven't kept count. A couple dozen.

Daryl Dixon : How many people you kill?

    Bob Stookey : Only one.

    Daryl Dixon : Why?

Bob Stookey : She asked me to.

  • [Daryl teaches Beth how to follow tracks in the ground]

Beth Greene : [as Beth wields Daryl's crossbow]  What are we tracking?

Daryl Dixon : You tell me. You're the one who wanted to learn.

Beth Greene : Well, something came through here. The pattern is all zig-zaggy. It's a Walker.

    Daryl Dixon : Maybe it's a drunk.

Beth Greene : [Beth smiles]  I'm getting good at this. Pretty soon I won't need you at all.

Daryl Dixon : Yeah, keep on tracking.

  • [Daryl offers Beth a piggyback after she hurts her ankle]

Daryl Dixon : [Daryl puts his back up to Beth]  Hop on.

Beth Greene : Are you serious?

Daryl Dixon : Yeah. This is a serious piggyback. Jump up.

Daryl Dixon : [Beth hops on Daryl's back as he strains to hold her]  You're heavier than you look.

  • [Beth sees Daryl lay inside one of the open coffins]

Beth Greene : What are you doing?

Daryl Dixon : This is the comfiest bed I've had in years.

  • [first lines]

Glenn Rhee : [in a flashback, Glenn and Daryl find Bob on the road]  You got point?

Daryl Dixon : Yeah, I got it.

    Bob Stookey : Hi. Hello.

Daryl Dixon : Just you out here?

    Bob Stookey : Yeah.

Daryl Dixon : How long's it been like that for?

Bob Stookey : [Bob chuckles]  I don't know. I was with one group and another one after that.

Daryl Dixon : They didn't make it? Neither one of them?

Glenn Rhee : What's your name?

    Bob Stookey : Bob Stookey.

  • [Daryl and Beth examine the stash of food in the funeral home]

Daryl Dixon : Ain't a speck of dust on this.

    Beth Greene : So?

Daryl Dixon : That means somebody just put it here. This is someone's stash. Maybe they're still alive. All right, we'll take some of it and we'll leave the rest, all right?

Beth Greene : I knew it.

    Daryl Dixon : Knew what?

Beth Greene : [Beth smiles]  It's like I said. There are still good people.

  • [Beth sees Daryl eat out of the jelly jar with his face]

    Daryl Dixon : Mm.

Beth Greene : [Beth makes a disgusted face]  Gross.

Daryl Dixon : Hey, those pig's feet are mine.

  • [Beth continues to sing while playing the piano]

Daryl Dixon : Why don't you go ahead and play some more? Keep singing.

Beth Greene : I thought my singing annoyed you.

Daryl Dixon : There ain't no jukebox, so...

Beth Greene : [as Beth continues to sing and play the piano]  And we'll buy... / A beer to shotgun / We'll lay on the lawn / And we'll be good / Now I'm laughing at my boredom / And my string of failed attempts...

[when Daryl closes his eyes in the coffin]

  • [Daryl carries Beth to the breakfast table in the funeral home]

Beth Greene : Going as fast as I can.

Daryl Dixon : [Daryl's voice strains]  Forget that.

    [as Beth laughs]

  • [Daryl and Beth find a graveyard outside of a funeral home]

Beth Greene : Maybe there are people there.

Daryl Dixon : Yeah, if there are, I'll handle them.

Beth Greene : There are still good people, Daryl.

Daryl Dixon : I don't think the good ones survive.

  • [Daryl and Beth find the corpses at the funeral home perfectly dressed]

Daryl Dixon : Looks like somebody ran out of dolls to dress up.

Beth Greene : It's beautiful. Whoever did this cared. They wanted these people to get a funeral. They remembered these things were people before all this. They didn't let it change them in the end. Don't you think that's beautiful?

  • [in a flashback, Daryl and Glenn invite Bob back to the prison with them]

Daryl Dixon : Want to come with us?

    Bob Stookey : Yes.

Daryl Dixon : You got any questions for us?

Bob Stookey : No. It doesn't matter who you are.

    Glenn Rhee : Really?

Bob Stookey : [Bob smiles]  Yeah. It doesn't matter.
