This film is set in New York City in 2010, amidst the protest of Park 51, the Islamic community center being built near Ground Zero. Matt (an Iraq war veteran who suffers from PTSD) saves the life of Amir (a Muslim convenience store owner who supports Park 51) from a racist & violent attack in his store.
