Playing the dowdy cranky granny in her last film What The Fish has given Dimple wardrobe jitters. Apparently, Dimple has roped in her old friends Abu-Sandeep to do all her clothes in her next film Welcome Back and is personally supervising her every sartorial move in the film. According to sources, Dimple plays a high-flying seductress. "The role is akin to Paris Hilton. Anees has borrowed liberally from Paris' lifestyle and wardrobe for Dimple in Welcome Back," an actor from the film whispers. When confronted with the Hilton-esque rumours, Anees says, "I can't reveal whom the role is modelled on. But Dimpleji plays a very rich woman with business interests across the world. She had to dress up accordingly. Dimpleji got Abu-Sandeep for the clothes. Each of her costumes is worth a small fortune. Dimpleji was always a very beautiful woman. But in Welcome Back she is stunning."...

New Delhi, Dec 16: Neither veteran actress Dimple Kapadia's "What The Fish" nor adult films star-turned-actress Sunny Leone-starrer "Jackpot" managed to pull in audiences to theatres over the last weekend. Both films failed to meet expectations, say experts.
Puneet Sahay of Spice Cinemas says both the films didn't do good business.
"We thought the films will at least have an occupancy of 50 percent, but even during weekend, the percentage didn't go beyond 15. 'Jackpot' had 12 percent occupancy and 'What The Fish' got only 10 percent," Sahay told Ians.
Co-produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Kumud Shahi Malik.

As was very obvious, the two prominent releases of the week, the Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Leone and Sachiin Joshi starrer Jackpot and Dimple Kapadia's What The Fish, have both failed to register even half decent collections. Comparatively speaking it was the Kaizad Gustad directed Jackpot that fared better than What The Fish. With Yash Raj Films' Aamir-Katrina starrer, Dhoom 3, all set for a bumper opening next Friday, both Jackpot and What The Fish have negligible chances of su...

So okay. Comedies are hard to sustain for more than an hour...and yes, this one does over-run its playing time by 20 minutes, although it's just about a 100 minutes in length. And that's a 100 conveying sustained satirical strength. The quality of the humour and the context of the characters' comic tangles is, on the ha-ha-ho-ho whole, adroitly maintained, sustained and executed.
So here goes. A cantankerous old woman in Delhi, Sudha Mishra (Dimple Kapadia, delightfully over-the-top) leaves her home and its two specific properties namely the pet fish.

The National Award winning actress says when she heard the script of the fun-filled mysterious drama, she immediately fell for it.

"There has to be something inviting or something fun for me to give so much time to. How many films have I done in.

Internet queen Poonam Pandey is inching into Bollywood. It is now learnt from reliable sources that Poonam has been invited by the production house Viacom 18 to promote their new film What The Fish.
While all the details of Poonam's very hush-hush deal with Viacom 18 are yet to emerge, it is learnt that Ms Pandey's "high-visibility factor" would be used to give the film a boost.
Says a source, "Viacom 18 has planned a big bash on December 10, where Poonam will share the platform with the film's leading lady Dimple Kapadia. Poonam is expected to whip up provocative interest in the film."
Curiously this is the first time that a celebrity from outside a film project is being invited to create awareness for a film.
Poonam, we also hear, is all set to sign a film with Viacom 18.
