"Searching" is a 3-minute American live action short film from 2013, so this one will have its 5th anniversary next year. Director is Victoria Mahoney and this is basically a video shoot for the Flaunt magazine. It received a solid deal of attention because of Selena Gomez' popularity and well what can you say, Gomez looks pretty stunning, the black-and-white shots look aesthetic and the music is soothing too I guess. But it is also a really empty movie and it comes off as more than just slightly pretentious. At least I cannot say it motivated me to even the slightest extent that I want to buy the magazine that it is advertising. Overall, despite good factors in theory, it is ultimately a truly forgettable little film, mostly because the story and plot aspect is entirely non-existent. Luckily it was this short. Don't watch unless you are a huge Selena Gomez fan.
