RAF Air Commodore Edward Barnes Sismore is featured prominently in the film. He participated as chief air navigator in Operation Carthage, the British attack on Shell House in Copenhagen in March 1945. Amongst his accolades, after the war Sismore was awarded the Danish Order of the Dannebrog. Early on in the film, Sismore declares, "I have committed myself to this interview, and then I'll stop. I don't really like being reminded about chaos and war." Sismore passed away in March 2012 at the age of 90, shortly after having finished his interview for this film.
