This series consists of twelve three minute episodes, each following the exploits of the Mikuni Detective Agency. Each episode sees them taking on another assignment with comic results.
Given the short episodes there isn't much plot; just a quick set up and a stream of gags; some are fairly funny and others are just strange! The characters are established surprisingly well given how little time there is. Most memorable of the characters is Takumi; a blue haired, somewhat androgynous boy who even appears in a parody of 'Sailor Moon' in one episode. Many of the jokes are a bit puerile but they aren't offensive. Overall I found this a fairly forgettable series but if you have half an hour to kill you might want to check it out it would probably be better watching it in one go than spreading it out These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.
