Great scenery, great possibilities, poor execution.

One of his least credible attempts. OK, the snow is a stopper. But the wind and the rain are only to be expected, and if you dress appropriately they are not the end of your day. To say you couldn't feed yourself because it was windy and raining is pathetic. To put this in perspective, I have hunted rabbits in the north west of Scotland with a 22 air rifle in February in a force eight gale with driving rain squalls and ice blowing up on the beach. I was staying in a dome tent, the worst I had was force 10 storms with driving hail. What's the secret? Wind and water proof clothing, that anyone heading out there should have as a matter of course. If it wasn't possible to deal with the weather then people in places like the north of Scotland and Iceland couldn't survive. It wasn't that cold, barely cold enough for snow. OK, it snowed once. The horses survived outside without blankets. So why didn't he shoot the bull? He never kills anything on these programs. Funny, he was willing to waste a day fishing, which isn't going to provide him much, but he wouldn't shoot the bull in the head to survive. Wasn't bull good enough? If they are an unwelcome invasive species then killing them is doing everyone a favor. Generally I wouldn't shoot foxes, but I would if I was starving. But then were these the European gray foxes that were introduced to control the rabbits... did you look for rabbits? Or the native foxes they displaced? Anyway, if you aren't actually going to do what is necessary to survive then were's the credibility?
