Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and scores of other celebrities went to bat for the 1952 U.S. Olympic team - bringing in more than $1,000,000. The two stars sang and joked their way through a 14 1/2 hour television marathon which was beamed to a nationwide audience estimated at 50,000,000 viewers.
