This episode was Great! Its pretty intense. Beckett assists on a Narcotics Investigation. But plans go wrong, and Beckett is gone! And she is taken In the Underworld. She is told To do A job but first "Elena" AKA Beckett, wants to see "Lazarus" first. I loved the fact Vulcan Simmons was back! I kinda hoped Beckett lost her temper again and Slammed Vulcan against the glass window in the interrogation room like the last time they meet. But, this time Vulcan (Lazarus) was doing the interrogating by drowning Beckett's face in ice cold water. Loved the part when Beckett is about to be killed , and then the real Elena comes and slices the guys neck. and Elena tells Beckett "Lazarus wanted you alive". So Vulcan wasn't the real Lazarus it was " " If you want to know, watch the episode! its great.

A great episode - castle at its best!

Okay so I was a huge fan of firefly, and the only reason I got into it was through castle (I know for most it is the other way around). Anyway, the first few seasons were great, the chemistry of Castle and Beckett is perfect. Sort of like the firefly cast.
A lot of episodes in the later seasons seem more like filler episodes, not as much story content and a lacking the humour of earlier episodes. This episode was fantastic. Lots of suspense, lots of thriller moments. A great great episode of Castle. Hope we have more of these this season! We do not see as much of other characters in this episode, it does revolve mostly around Beckett but the greatness of this episode makes up for the lack of camera presence of the other characters.
Watch this episode, you will NOT be disappointed.

Hollywood keeps shoving this female assassins down our throat.... Look throughout history, typically women use poisons, seduction etc etc.... Wanna see what happens when a trained woman cop goes against a trained man? Watch season 4 last episode. Kate on the roof fighting... That's how it would go. And as the other reviewer said...... Nikki heat is based on Kate, they didn't think 1.....1 person would recognize her? Gah.
Just the idea for this episode is brain dead

I am sorry but the basic idea for this episode makes no sense and only works if you forget what the basic set up for this show is supposed to be.
Castle is supposed to be world famous, he has contacts in every country, he has at least two homes valued at more then ten million dollars each, and he has powerful friends who can bust him out of jail. The world knows Beckett is his girlfriend and even before that she was famous and being interviewed by one of the most read magazine in the country because she inspired a fictional character. Are we really supposed to believe that this woman who in the Castle universe must be know nation wide would ever been sent undercover with a Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon accent? The real surprise in this episode is that it takes her so long to be found out and no one thinks this is a dumb idea.
This is clearly a script from a standard issue cops show that was rewritten for Castle because it only works if you forgot everything you know about this show, it's characters, and their personal history.
It's just an insultingly bad idea for an episode and the fact that it was made and it is such an important arc episode shows that this once great program has lost it's way and the writers have no respect for the viewers.
This episode and others like it are the reason why I stopped watching this show when I may have been it's biggest fan since season one. It shows that the show is tired and the writers can't even be bothered to look up events of past episodes so the show makes sense.
If the writers and producers who are being paid to make this show can't go to the trouble of remembering the basic set up then I fail to see why I should go to the trouble of watching it.
If the people making this show think that it is not worth the trouble to try and make it good, who am I to disagree?

Jump the Shark Writing

Warning: Spoilers
Castle jumped the shark in season 6. This episode is an example of the writing that doomed the series. Good show with a couple of twists. However, after Beckett is saved and Vulcan, who tortured her and sent her to die, is picked up, the all of a sudden stupidest cops in the world claim he cannot be convicted on a decorated police officer's testimony with no corroborating evidence. This is not the first set of stupid writers who think they can get away with having a police officer who observed a crime not be a credible enough witness. Hell, criminals are convicted every day on lay witness' testimony, little less a decorated officer. Just like Castle, those shows were heading down the drain.
I'm sorry but that's it!

I cannot explain my disappointment. I loved this movie so much, first seasons were like a drug for me, what happened now? Banal conversations, same cases with a dozen suspect and almost supernatural facts. I'm not sure if every show is good at the beginning and then dies, but most of the true fans are keep watching just because they love the show and the characters, I am not sure if I love it so much. The sweet and same ad nauseam moments between Becket and Castle, little every day problems between Alexis and her boyfriend, every case just start and end in the same episode, this show is played out. And I just thought - Oh, something new! ... When the story turned to 360 degree back to the senator who killed Becket's mother... Come on, guys, really? We already saw this, empathy and forget about it! And I just cannot tell you how fake was the whole episode with Ryan and Esposito, where they escaped like in a miracle from that building like it was no fire at all. This show became predictable, nobody likes to know what is happening previously.
