- Elizabeth Richardson (Olivia Schaperjohn) is the typical high school girl next door. Pretty and popular, she catches the eye of the school janitor, Milo Otis (Kevin Roach). Elizabeth is kidnapped by Otis but is safely reunited with her family after a long drawn-out scare. Otis is sent to prison.
About a year later, Otis breaks out of prison and Elizabeth is abducted a second time. Elizabeth is found in a train station two weeks later plagued with amnesia, and only able to remember minor details. With the help of her therapist, Elizabeth uncovers a split personality disorder she has created to protect herself from the trauma.
The therapist (Kristine Renee Farley), after exhausting numerous other treatments, decides to hypnotize Elizabeth to help her recover her lost memories. She believes if Elizabeth can face the trauma of what happened, she can get rid of her split self, Sophia (Helena Walker), and start to heal. While under hypnosis, Elizabeth remembers that Milo kidnapped her the second time in order for her to kill him.
Faced with the task of killing Milo, Elizabeth discovers she has feelings for her captor. But in the end, Elizabeth is coaxed into taking Milos life by her split personality Sophia. Elizabeth emerges from hypnosis, traumatized, yet understanding the truth of what happened.
